ABSTRACT Tree species are often locally adapted to their environments, but the extent which environmental adaptation contributes incipient speciation is unclear. One of rarest pines in world, Torrey pine ( Pinus torreyana Parry), persists naturally across one island and mainland population southern California. ABSTRACT The spatial distribution of the European anchovy has expanded in northern part its range Northeast Atlantic recent decades. However, whether this results from a northward shift southern conspecifics or expansion local population is unknown.
