An Exploratory Longitudinal Dyadic Analysis of Couple Attachment Trajectories

Abstract
The
purpose
of
this
exploratory
study
was
to
first
examine
the
dyadic
trajectory
attachment
change
over
a
longer
period
(i.e.,
5
years)
than
has
been
examined
in
previous
research;
second,
identify
mean
security
for
couples
with
no
history
contact
therapy
as
well
effect
utilization;
and
third,
couples’
trajectories
gender
differences.
This
included
294
heterosexual
married
(78.6%
European
American).
One-hundred
nine
(37.07%)
female
partners
121
(46.60%)
male
indicated
that
they
had
never
utilized
prior
or
during
(had
at
all).
Research
questions
were
explored
using
longitudinal
multilevel
