Background/Objectives:
Patients
with
central
nervous
system
injuries
who
are
hospitalized
in
intensive
care
units
(ICUs)
at
high
risk
for
nosocomial
infections.
Limited
data
available
on
the
incidence
and
patterns
of
microbial
colonization
infection
this
patient
population.
Methods:
To
fill
gap,
we
performed
an
electronic
health
record-based
study
1614
chronic
patients
brain
injury
admitted
to
ICU
from
2017
2023.
Results:
Among
infectious
complications,
pneumonia
was
most
common
(n
=
879;
54.46%).
Sepsis
diagnosed

patients,
whom
46
(85%)
were
pneumonia.

pathogen
that

sepsis

Abstract
The
microbial
world
represents
