Although the varied benefits of purpose are increasingly recognized, there is more to learn about how and why in later life. Forty older adults (aged 68–96 years) living within South Australian community participated a face-to-face interview further existing understanding age. Conversations with suggest that majority continues value pursue their lives. Amongst interviewed was no single perception, definition or experience purpose. However, through thematic analysis four categories emerged. Purpose fulfilled drive for life; roles responsibilities; routine, activity independence; faith spirituality. The outcomes this study build upon limited body evidence defining "purpose" from perspective themselves which may turn help inform future conceptualizations measurements purpose, as well enable design interventions intended promote, sustain re-introduce across life span.

Purpose: In older people with diabetes, multimorbidity is highly prevalent and it can lead to poor quality of life. The overall purpose this study was examine the association between social environment, psychosocial support constraints, life among without diabetes multiple chronic illnesses.Methods: Self-reported data from participants in a cohort New Zealanders analysed.
