This research investigated the relationship between teachers' emotions and their professional learning in navigating tensions concerning classroom management. It drew on Vygotsky's concept of perezhivanie (Vygotsky, The Vygotsky reader. Blackwell, 1994), which views situations as having a differential impact individuals' psychological development depending how they interpret experience event or situation. Participants this were three tertiary educators at public university Vietnam. Adopting qualitative case design, study utilised interviews, observations reflective journals for its data collection, spanning over 12 weeks. During the last few years, efforts have been made to understand, substantiate and reinterpret perezhivanie construct. This concept partially proposed by Vygotsky is currently used as a useful theoretical-practical tool for understanding of development. However, its implications processes such learning, emotions, agency others still need be explored. study reviews usefulness affect learning through systematic review. Recent research using term in studies conducted educational contexts at different levels was analysed.
