The global higher education sector has been significantly disrupted by the proliferation of generative artificial intelligence tools such as ChatGPT, especially in relation to its implications for assessment. However, few studies date have explored student perspectives on these tools. This article reports one first large-scale quantitative views at an Australian university (n = 1,135). When survey was conducted, most students had low knowledge, experience, and confidence using These results varied across disciplines some sub-groups, mature-age international students. Developments in the chatbot space have been accelerating at breakneck speed since late November 2022. Every day, there appears to be a plethora of news. A war competitor chatbots is raging amidst an AI arms race and gold rush. These rapid developments impact higher education, as millions students academics started using bots like ChatGPT, Bing Chat, Bard, Ernie others for large variety purposes. In this article, we select some most promising English Chinese-language spaces provide their corporate backgrounds brief histories. Following up-to-date review Chinese English-language academic literature, describe our comparative method systematically compare selected across multi-disciplinary test relevant education. In today's academic world, some academicians, researchers and students have begun employing Artificial Intelligence (AI) language models, e.g., ChatGPT, in completing a variety of tasks, including generating ideas, summarising literature, essay writing. However, the use ChatGPT settings is controversial issue, leading to severe concern about integrity AI-assisted cheating, while scholarly communities still lack clear principles on using such innovation academia. Accordingly, this study aims understand motivations driving academics their work, specifically role making up adoption behavior. Based 702 responses retrieved from users ResearchGate Academia.edu, we found that usage positively shaped by time-saving feature, e-word mouth, self-efficacy, self-esteem, perceived stress. contrast, peer influence had negative effect usage. Intriguingly, integrity-moderated interactions time-saving, self-esteem stress are be significantly positive.
