Climate
change

This
research
investigates
the
relation
between
climate
anxiety,
threat
perceptions

future
generations,

childbearing
motivations
in
childless
emerging
adults.

a
sample
of
1211
Swiss
college
students
aged
18–25,
study
explores
if

Abstract
Climate
change
is
one
of
the
greatest
global
threats
that
has
ecological,
economic,
social,
and
psychological
consequences.
Nowadays,
young
people
are
target
political
agenda
since
they
represent
potential
future
policymakers.
Consequently,
it
crucial
to
identify
features
contribute
engagement
in
climate
issue.
This
study
aimed
at
identifying
describing
different
configurations
youth
perceiving
experiencing
change.
A
sample
224
participants
(61%
females;
M
age
=
21.04,
SD
1.65)
were
involved
study.
From
a
cluster
analysis
emerged
three
distinct
profiles,
Eco-Disengaged,
Eco-Engaged/Oriented
Eco-Engaged/Disoriented,
which
differ
levels
awareness,
worry
anxiety.
Findings
suggest
institutions
might
develop
green
education
programs
based
on
people’s
individual
differences.
