Climate change is an increasingly global issue that impacts individual well-being. Research has shown adolescents are more at risk of experiencing climate anxiety, leading them to be sensitive the topic and act in favor environment. This research investigates the relation between climate anxiety, threat perceptions for future generations, and childbearing motivations in childless emerging adults. Using a sample of 1211 Swiss college students aged 18–25, study explores if mediate relationship anxiety motivations. Abstract Climate change is one of the greatest global threats that has ecological, economic, social, and psychological consequences. Nowadays, young people are target political agenda since they represent potential future policymakers. Consequently, it crucial to identify features contribute engagement in climate issue. This study aimed at identifying describing different configurations youth perceiving experiencing change. A sample 224 participants (61% females; M age = 21.04, SD 1.65) were involved study. From a cluster analysis emerged three distinct profiles, Eco-Disengaged, Eco-Engaged/Oriented Eco-Engaged/Disoriented, which differ levels awareness, worry anxiety. Findings suggest institutions might develop green education programs based on people’s individual differences.

The climate crisis is both an environmental and moral issue. United Nations’ (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) provide a framework for global response to systematically challenge the world’s reactions crisis, making sustainable education all priority. For such sustainability be effective, it should engage children in early childhood in, about, environment, emphasizing ramifications of equity justice.
