The magnitude of the Oct 7, 2023 attack in southern Israel was without precedent. More than 1300 civilians were murdered, and 240 kidnapped taken hostage. In this national cohort study, for which baseline outcome data established before attacks, a prospective assessment posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression, generalized anxiety (GAD) conducted one month after attack.

Intimate partner violence (IPV) is consistently associated with deleterious mental health outcomes. Moral injury, a distinct form of trauma that can arise from witnessing, engaging in, failing to prevent, or being the victim acts conflict one's moral beliefs, similarly adverse health. Abstract The evidence regarding the intergenerational effects of Holocaust points to a heightened sensitivity traumatic and stressful events, as well threats. With about 1200 individuals murdered, the massacre of October 7th was one deadliest terrorist attacks in modern history. The mental health consequences have been documented.
