Purpose This study aims to explore the factors influencing intention report misinformation on social media platforms. Abstract In the current post-truth era, ability to assess reliability of information is an essential citizenship attribute. Introduction: The onset of the COVID-19 pandemic brought about global uncertainties and fears, escalating dissemination fake news. This study aims to analyze impact news on vaccine adherence among pregnant women, providing crucial insights for effective communication strategies during pandemic. Methods: A cross-sectional, exploratory was conducted with 113 women under care at a Women’s Health Reference Center. Data analysis included relative frequency odds ratio assess relationship between sociodemographic behavioral variables regarding vaccination. Results: In context vaccination, internet access shows significant association decision-making, influencing refusal due online information. Studies on the effective use of social media for academic purposes are not new, but limited studies exist undergraduate students’ perceived use. Anchored Grounded Theory, this study explored student perception at two universities in Philippines and Kyrgyz Republic. Results show that undergraduates communication, education, awareness current events, entertainment, self-expression, doing engaging business, as a source motivation inspiration. Moreover, negative impact includes health, productivity, psychological mental socialization, information veracity. Slight differences between groups were noted.
