Purpose The purpose of this study is to examine the nexus between geopolitical risk, female CEOs and firm performance through a cross-country analysis. Design/methodology/approach period ranges from 2014 2021, dataset uses an unbalanced panel 4,955 companies across 50 nations comprising both developed emerging economies. Bu çalışmanın amacı, yönetim kurulu yapısı ile banka performansı arasındaki ilişkiyi ortaya koymaktır. amaç doğrultusunda 2011-2021 döneminde gelişmekte olan ülkelerin borsalarında işlem gören bankaların finansal ilişki dinamik panel veri analiz yöntemi kullanılarak incelenmiştir. Bağımlı değişken olarak aktif kârlılığı (ROA)’nın kullanıldığı çalışmada, büyüklüğü, sektör tecrübesine sahip yönetici oranı, icracı olmayan oranı ve liderlik ise değişkenleri kullanılmıştır. Analizden elde edilen bulgulara göre, hem büyüklüğü değişkeni de genel müdürlük başkanlığı görevlerinin aynı kişi tarafından icra edilmesi durumunu ifade eden arasında negatif yönlü bir olduğu görülmüştür. Diğer taraftan, bankaya özgü kontrol değişkenlerinden sermayesinin performans üzerindeki etkisinin pozitif istatistiki anlamlı tespit edilmiştir.
