Two species of the clawed frog family, Xenopus laevis and tropicalis, are widely used as tools to investigate both normal disease-state biochemistry, genetics, cell biology developmental biology. To support specialist non-specialist scientists needing access these models for their research, a number centralised resources exist around world. Here we consider RNA-Seq, used to measure global gene expression through RNA fragmentation, capture, sequencing, and subsequent computational analysis.
