The
emergence
of
the
omicron
variant
and
its
sub-lineages
has
necessitated
vaccine
updates
for
coronavirus
disease
2019.
In
September
2023,
U.S.
Food
Drug
Administration
approved
an
updated
BNT162b2
targeting
XBB.1.5
variant,
which
was
initiated
in
Korea
October
2024.
This
study
demonstrates
adverse
events
reported
through
active
nationwide
surveillance
after
vaccination
Korea.
Since
19,
Disease
Control
Prevention
Agency
conducted
daily
Short
Message
Service
surveys
to
collect
data
on
health
issues,
fever,
site
reactions,
systemic
symptoms,
impact
life,
healthcare
visits.
Among
20,180
respondents,
27.9%
issues.
Adverse
reactions
peaked
day
1
(28.7%),
including
pain
at
site,
muscle
pain,
fatigue,
fever.
These
findings
elucidate
short-term
safety
support
co-administration
with
influenza
vaccine,

Abstract
Long
coronavirus
disease
(COVID)
is
characterized
by
persistent
symptoms
following
severe
acute
respiratory
syndrome
2
(SARS‐CoV‐2)
infection
and
has
emerged
as
a
significant
health
concern.
As
SARS‐CoV‐2
evolved
from
the
wild‐type
strain
to
Alpha,
Beta,
Delta,
Omicron
variants,
there
may
be
variant‐specific
influence
on
long
COVID
akin
disease.
This
review
aims
summarize
our
current
knowledge
of
influences
in
incidence,
symptom
profile
well
mechanisms
pathogenesis.
We
highlight
that
incidence
lower
with
variants.
The
also
show
some
dependence
different
reduction
cardiopulmonary
more
recent
heterogeneity
related
differences
affecting
immune
system,
viral
persistence,
autoimmunity.
However,
emerging
data
suggest
vaccinations
play
big
role
shaping
presentation

vaccine

protection
against

variants.
