Board diversity is crucial for corporate governance and improves outcomes by aligning management with stakeholders’ interests. Compared to advanced environments, Jordan’s decent sociocultural backdrop exhibits a higher level of gender bias. This study investigates the influence board (BGD) on Jordanian banking sector performance, an under-explored area. quantitative paper employs Ordinary Least Squares (OLS), random, fixed-effect approaches analyze 182 bank-year observations balanced longitudinal data analysis. These correctly establish BGD-Tobin’s Q nexus during 2010–2022. The coefficient determination was 70.57%. model confirms positive correlation between BGD market-based performance indicators. Findings support agency resource dependency hypotheses, showing BGD’s role in decision-making. Hence, one-unit increase causes 37.2-cent Tobin’s measure. Moreover, change independence, meetings, size, women’s representation top management, capital adequacy ratio, assuming all other factors remain constant, results Tobin-Q changes 2.57 cents, 32.8 5.78 51.2 30.55 22.86 respectively, same direction. show how enhances bank contributes relevant theories. are vigorous variety identification estimation methodologies.

Abstract With many studies on the participation of women in management positions, a systematic review gender diversity and its impact financial performance companies over last 20 years is demand. To this end, we conducted literature 370 articles, 359 which were empirical published most relevant journals Finance Business Administration. Purpose This study aims to empirically test the influence of board member gender on insolvency risk in a two-tier system. Design/methodology/approach considers 91 banks operating Indonesia from 2009 2021. It uses two-step system generalized moment method analyze data. ABSTRACT This study investigates the impact of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) disclosure gender diversity on board commissioners operating market performance in Indonesia from 2018 to 2022. The sample for this consisted 218 listed companies with ESG disclosures. Purpose Previous studies have considered the presence of women directors on corporate boards and their impact financial performance in isolation, disregarding interaction with other firm-level attributes. Consequently, results such are largely inconclusive. This study addresses this gap by adopting a system’s approach to governance characteristics firm performance, rooted configurational approach. ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is to examine the influence board gender diversity on financial performance firms in Sri Lanka. While extensive research has been conducted developed countries, addresses gap literature by examining how cultural and economic differences relationship between corporate performance. Understanding developing countries crucial for shaping inclusive governance policies promoting sustainable development diverse contexts. This employs secondary data from annual reports listed companies over period 2012–2022, using panel regression multiple linear models explore firm findings reveal that, despite Lanka's boards being predominantly male‐dominated, inclusion female directors positively associated with improved evident through factors such as presence directors, chairpersons, size, CEO duality age.
