Abstract Microlearning is gaining ground in the higher education domain. Despite this trend, there a lack of evidence effectiveness when large number microlearning units are grouped to form macrolearning programme. The purpose paper explore how and why affects students’ self-efficacy. originality its in-depth analysis an EdTech startup named MLMaster, which has built portfolio several business programmes, each consisting over one hundred units, forming programmes. main contribution uncover critical insights into self-efficacy practice, driven by two factors: participants’ affective states, positive feelings after taking part programme, mastery experiences, application learning at work.
