Purpose The COVID-19 pandemic disrupted existing business models, forcing managers in the manufacturing industry to look for new strategies that could help their firms bounce forward. situation calls a rethink, redesign, and development of models (BMs) using digital capabilities. Drawing from dynamic capability theory, this paper investigates how transformation (DT) influences model innovation (BMI) through technology orientation (TO). further examined moderating role competitive intensity (CI) DT-TO link. Design/methodology/approach was tested survey data 208 senior Ghana. SPSS 23 structural equation modeling (SEM) were used analyses. Findings results revealed both DT directly influence all four dimensions BMI. result showed indirectly mediates relationship between findings DT-BMI link is amplified at varying levels intensity. Originality/value Although recent research has highlighted pertinence embracing foster innovation, best authors’ knowledge, study among first few attempts shed light on sensing, seizing, (re) configuring firms’ resources renovate stay competitive. In addition, date, no exists conditions mechanism which optimal BMI can be achieved DT. offer practical guidance by developing an actionable framework effectively leverage enhanced orientation, offering clear guidelines assessing aligning organizational capabilities with strategies.

Purpose With limited empirical evidence, prior studies have proposed that green practices can be leveraged to enhance carbon neutrality. This study draws on the contingent natural resource-based view (NRBV) theorize and validate how pressure from supply chain (SC) stakeholders could amplify effect of logistics (GLPs) carbon-neutral performance (CNSCP) among firms in developing countries. Specifically, this contends high levels pressures (SCPs) (customers suppliers) influence GLPs CNSCP. Design/methodology/approach An integrated model was tested using survey data gathered 208 managers Ghana. SPSS 23 structural equation modeling were used for analyses. Findings showed all five dimensions (transportation, warehousing, packaging distribution, information sharing sustainable waste management) significantly also found varying interactive effects SCPs link between (green transportation, distribution) CNSCP, such different exert at SCPs. Practical implications offers fresh insights into leverage achieve enhanced benefits form The outcome a comprehensive understanding GLPs-CNSCP while shedding light manage SCP drive through GLPs. Social contributes policymakers enhancing decarbonization global SCs practices. Originality/value To best authors’ knowledge, is first empirically identified demonstrated these uniquely as opposed previous examined one-dimensional perspective. expands borders literature by theorizing validating necessary conditions In essence, novelty present lies integration NRBV stakeholder theories unearth mechanism optimizing GLP-CNSCP relationship, which rare literature.

Purpose While big data analytics can spur innovation among firms, it is unclear whether effectively drive value creation, proposition, delivery and capture to deal with disruptions the ever-changing demands of customers. This study therefore aims examine how be improved through capability (BDAC). advances discourse by investigating market environment strategic orientations play significant but little-studied roles in enhancing or lessening BDAC’s impact on business model (BMI). Design/methodology/approach Drawing dynamic contingency perspectives, a five hypotheses was developed validated using survey from 208 managers manufacturing firms Ghana. Covariance-based structural equation modeling used for analysis. Findings The findings revealed that BDAC orientation (market learning) directly influence dimensions BMI (value capture). further showed partially mediate BDAC–BMI link. authors also noted link amplified at high levels dynamism. Practical implications suggest investing BDA alone may not sufficient superior innovation. However, continuous learning are crucial fully realizing full potential enabling capture, especially environment. Originality/value contributes existing literature being first facilitates developing countries. paper BM theorizing validating important rarely studied Thus, this extends understanding conditions mechanisms which effect optimized.

Purpose This study has a threefold objective: (1) to review the existing literature on drivers of green logistics practices (GLPs); (2) propose conceptual framework for effective implementation practices; and (3) provide strategic directions advancing scholarship. Design/methodology/approach Drawing comprehensive relevant grounded in social learning theory, this develops positioning supply chain ethical leadership (SCEL) as foundational antecedent development core competencies (GCC). These competencies, turn, serve critical enabler successful adoption GLPs. Findings The revealed an increasing body GLPs particularly from China. authors found heavy reliance previous scholars resource-advantage, organizational system theories, with most studies using cross-sectional designs quantitative methods. Using Antecedent-Decision-Outcomes (ADO) framework, identified 14 antecedents (eight internal six external factors), four key decisions that facilitate acceleration five major outcomes encompassing business performance, sustainability, performance performance. Based gaps identified, paper proposes SCEL plays crucial role GCC within firms. which include specialized knowledge, skills resources related environmental management, emerge capabilities could empower organizations adopt implement effectively. underscore interplay between leadership, operational strategies driving sustainability initiatives management. Research limitations/implications proposed model is only hence requires empirical validation. Practical implications offers actionable insights practitioners stakeholders sector by providing contemporary perspective promoting responsible production consumption. By emphasizing interdisciplinary intersections can guide toward aligning their global goals. However, conceptual, it necessitates validation through further research substantiate its applicability across diverse contexts. Purpose Integrating green (sustainable) practices in logistics management play a crucial role accelerating the transition to circular economy, realizing its sustainability potential and position net zero emission target by 2050. Over past decade, this integration has attracted significant attention both academic industrial discourse. Despite increasing recognition of benefits (GLPs), only few firms have implemented green-oriented or sustainable practices; hence, comprehensive understanding what could drive implementation as well how when can benefit from GLPs is key importance for theory, policy practice. Drawing on dual theoretical lenses, study investigated supply chain ethical leadership (SCEL) stimulate building core competencies (GCC) under varying conditions corporate culture (CGC). Design/methodology/approach An integrated model motivated social learning contingency theories was tested using responses 208 managers Ghana. SPSS 23 covariance-based structural equation modeling (CB-SEM) were used data analyses. Findings Both SCEL GCC significantly influenced GLPs. The findings also showed that enhanced carbon-neutral performance (CNSCP). results further mediates SCEL–GLPs link. We found effect amplified at high level CGC. Practical implications This offers fresh insight into leverage support GLP they combine competence achieve form SCP. implies alone may not be sufficient superior reduction subsequent sustainability; rather, cultivating values fully realize enabling subsequently enhancing Originality/value novelty present lies unearth mechanism conditional roles optimizing SCEL–GLPs–GLP relationship. among attempts shed light enhance performance, which rare.
