The
nutritional
value
of
any
food
product
has
historically
been
measured
by
the
calorific
individual
components,
harking
back
to
days
development
bomb
calorimeter.
A
fuller
understanding
nutrition
later
took

account

specific

proteins,
carbohydrates,
vitamins
and
minerals,
that
ere

human
health
growth.

absorption,

total.
Notably,

(TRPV6
TRPM6/TRPM7).
Conversely,
non-selective
cation
channel
TRPV3
stimulated
intracellular
acidification
numerous
herbal
compounds.
Spicy,
fiber-rich
food,
traditionally
consumed

cultures,

enhance
this
pathway.

inadequacy

Asian
populations

well

but
whether
it
improved
over
time
remains
uncertain.
We
analyzed
dietary
calcium
intake
and
its
association
with
osteoporosis
prevalence
a
20-year
period
48,653
adults
(21,932
men
26,721
women,
aged
19
years
older)
Korea,
using
data
from
the
first
to
seventh
Korea
National
Health
Nutrition
Examination
Survey
(1998-2018).
Over
past
20
years,
Korean
consistently
fell
short
of
recommended
intake,
women
older
particularly
affected,
typically
consuming
only
40-80%
levels.
The
30-49
age
group
had
highest
(497-568
mg/day),
while
those
75+
lowest
(319-457
mg/day).
A
significant
inverse
relationship
was
found
between
risk,
lower
associated
higher
odds
developing
osteoporosis,
as
determined
by
both
physician
diagnoses

mineral
density
measurements
