Abstract Childhood maltreatment and intimate partner violence (IPV) victimization are major psychiatric risk factors. Maltreatment substantially increases the likelihood of subsequent IPV victimization, but what drives this association is poorly understood. We analyzed retrospective self-reports in 12,794 participants (58% women, 42% men) from Twins Early Development Study at ages 21 26 using quantitative genetic methods. estimated etiological influences common to IPV, effect on beyond such influences. Participants who reported childhood ( ~ 7% sample) were 3 times more likely than their peers also report age 21, 4 26. The between was mostly due environmental shared by co-twins (42–43%) (30–33%), as well nonshared (25–27%). similar for women men, its etiology partly differed sex. had a moderate phenotypic models β = 0.25–0.30), decreasing small-to-moderate range causally informative accounting 0.15–0.21). Risk factors largely familial origin, genetic. Even considering factors, experiencing may be related victimization. Interventions promoting safe relationships among young adults exposed warranted should address family-level individual-level shaped genetics.

Although the benefits of trees in cities are great variety and value, attention must also be paid to consequences for public health presence pollen aeroallergens atmosphere, which likely interact with air pollutants, influencing alteration immune system, facilitating allergic reactions, enhancing symptoms asthmatic patients. This study analyses (using multiple linear regression calculations performed data analysis tool Statgraphics Centurion 19) interaction concentration six types tree (Cupressaceae, Olea, Platanus, Pinus, Ulmus, Populus) atmospheric pollutants (O3, PM10 PM2.5, NO2, CO, SO2), on asthma care episodes Community Madrid (CAM). In most calculated equations, adjusted R2 value is higher than 30%, all cases, P-value models obtained lower 0.0001. Therefore, almost period statistically significant. Olea type frequently associated (followed by Pinus Populus), years studied. same period, O3 common pollutant equations asthma. Stronger interrelations generally found more urban municipalities.

Although child maltreatment (CM) has been linked to health problems and poor psychosocial functioning, not all individuals exposed CM develop or experience negative consequences later in life. This suggests that some show resilience after being CM. However, conclusions have limited by inconsistent findings across different subtypes domains.

Childhood trauma can have negative effects on several domains of mental functioning, including Autobiographical Memory (AM). Conflicting results emerge in the scientific literature regarding childhood AM. In this review, we explored relationship between and AM, classifying as interpersonal, non-interpersonal overall (interpersonal non-interpersonal). We carried out a systematic following guidelines Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews Meta-analyses (PRISMA statement). From searching PubMed, Scopus, Web Science databases, identified 48 studies conducted from 2014 to 2023, which were included when they: (a) written English, (b) investigated AM trauma, (c) sample children, adolescents, or adults who had experienced interpersonal and/or trauma. Of eligible studies, 29 referred an nature, 12 7 Regarding 24 found AM; among articles 10 no relevant relationship; 4 The our review supports prevalence This is present regardless psychiatric disorders (e.g., Depression, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Personality Disorders), presence latter, even more fragmented. Social dysfunction represents one of the most common signs neuropsychiatric disorders, such as Schizophrenia (SZ) and Alzheimer's disease (AD). Perturbed socioaffective neural processing is crucially implicated in SZ/AD generally linked to social dysfunction. Yet, transdiagnostic properties its neurobiological underpinnings remain unknown. As part European PRISM project, we examined whether maps onto shifts within brain systems across SZ AD patients. We probed coupling with processing, indexed by an implicit facial emotional fMRI task, (N = 46), 40) two age-matched healthy control (HC) groups 26 HC-younger N 27 HC-older). Behavioural (i.e., withdrawal, interpersonal dysfunction, diminished prosocial or recreational activity) subjective feelings loneliness) aspects were assessed using Functioning Scale De Jong-Gierveld loneliness questionnaire, respectively. Childhood maltreatment (CM) is closely linked to internet addiction (IA), especially in adolescents with Major Depressive Disorder (MDD). Previous studies have shown that who experience CM are more likely develop IA and other psychological problems. This study aims explore the complex relationship between through network analysis, particularly identifying core symptoms bridge better understand development of these adolescents. A cross-sectional was conducted seven hospitals Anhui Province, China, involving 332 diagnosed MDD using DSM-5 criteria. The Trauma Questionnaire - Short Form (CTQ-SF) Internet Addiction Test (IAT) were used assess symptoms, respectively. Gender-based analysis also performed. Network constructed a CM-IA identified symptoms. "Depress/moody/nervous being offline", "Request an extension for longer time", "Sleep loss due late-night logins", "emotional abuse" emerged as central within network. Additionally, abuse", "sexual "complaints about online time" key linking IA. These demonstrated significant connectivity, underscoring their critical role findings highlight MDD. Specific such emotional abuse online-related play important roles understanding intervening adolescent Future interventions should target effective prevention treatment.

Abstract: The link between childhood maltreatment and mood disorders is complex involves multiple bio-psycho-social factors that affect molecular pathways. present narrative review aims to clarify the current understanding of impact on biomarkers in patients with their first-degree relatives. Neurotransmitters, such as serotonin, dopamine, norepinephrine, hormones (eg stress hormone cortisol), play a crucial role regulating emotion. Childhood can alter levels functioning these neurotransmitters brain; further, lead structural connectivity changes brain, hence contributing development moderating illness presentation modifying response treatments. information, therefore, appears mandatory treatment planning critical factor therapeutic algorithms. Further research needed fully understand pathways develop new modalities for individuals who have experienced effective preventive interventions at risk developing disorders.
