Abstract
Understanding
the
effects
of
mining
activities
on
Amazonian
streams
and
their
impact
aquatic
communities
is
paramount
importance
in
current
context
resource
overexploitation
society.
In
this
study,
we
assessed
significance
environment
interspecific
interactions
organization
patterns
semiaquatic
insect
species
a
mineral
extraction
region
eastern
Amazon.
We
utilized
morpho
functional
characteristics
22
from
suborder
Gerromorpha
(Heteropteran),
considering
both
abundance
sexual
dimorphism
these
species.
Additionally,
quantified
density
riparian
vegetation
surrounding
each
stream
to
categorize
sampling
points
evaluate
whether
there
are
differences
distribution
among
categories.

16

categorized

two
treatments
based

divergence

availability

resources

efficiently.

results
demonstrate
