This study investigated knowledge of atopic dermatitis and food allergies, as well health information literacy, among North Korean refugee mothers with preschool-age children explored how these variables were related to participants' characteristics. A descriptive design was used. Data from 130 collected between January March 2023. The mean scores 14.48 30 for knowledge; 2.77 10 allergy knowledge, 56.95 80 literacy. Significant differences observed in based on breastfeeding duration (F=4.12, p=.009), allergies mixed feeding (F=3.11, p=.049). Health literacy showed significant relationships education level (F=3.76, p=.026), occupation (F=3.99, p=.021), checking nutritional (t=2.91, p=.004), (F=4.50, p=.014), diagnosis (t=6.86, p=.001). positive correlations Personalized educational programs should be implemented improve awareness mothers, which would help them find, evaluate, understand health-related information. These focus providing nutrition dietary promote healthy growth prevent diseases.

Abstract Purpose of Review The aim this review is to highlight key published oral immunotherapy (OIT) protocols and post-desensitization strategies for the major food allergens cover important concepts consider when evaluating OIT food-allergic patients. Shared decision-making should help identify patient family values which will influence type evidence-based protocol maintenance strategy use. Recent Findings With emerging as a treatment option, there pressing need patients, physicians, other providers have nuanced understanding management choices available them. There are now randomized controlled trials (RCT) peanut, egg, milk, wheat, reports cohorts patients who undergone tree nuts sesame clinically. current contain significant diversity in terms starting dose, build-up schedule, even product used desensitization. Emerging data can direct long-term on OIT. Summary Based elicited through shared process, an may be selected that balances level desensitization, potential side effects, frequency clinic visits, induce sustained unresponsiveness, among factors. Once dosing reached, most maintain regular exposure allergen remain desensitized. option transition commercial products with equivalent amounts protein dose would simplify process perhaps improve palatability well. Less frequent or decreased provide practical benefits but affect desensitization safety some

Abstract Background Beekeepers represent a high-allergic risk population group due to their unavoidable seasonal or persistent exposure the elicitors of Hymenoptera venom allergy, bees in particular. A systematic literature review and meta-analysis aimed estimate prevalence self-reported systemic allergic reaction among beekeepers worldwide. Methods We rigorously reviewed conducted on observational studies retrieved from seven electronic databases (MEDLINE via PubMed, Web Science Core Collection, Scopus, Academic Search Complete, ScienceDirect, Cumulative Index Nursing Allied Health Literature, Zoological Record), spanning data inception August 1, 2023. The Joanna Briggs Institute Prevalence Critical Appraisal Tool was employed assess bias. synthesize evidence. Results Out 468 studies, eight original articles met inclusion criteria. estimated overall lifetime one-year bee were 23.7% (95% CI: 7.7–53.4) 7.3% 5.8–9.2), respectively. for grades III–IV (severe reaction) 6.0% 3.0–11.7). In general, substantial heterogeneity high bias observed across majority studies. impact geographical location climate differences is suggestive severe reaction. Conclusions Future cross-sectional should employ rigorous study designs, using validated questionnaires, thoroughly report health outcomes, verified by physicians.
