Teams’ stressors and flow experience: An energy-based perspective and the role of team mindfulness

Despite
abundant
evidence
indicating
the
beneficial
consequences
of
flow,
thus
far,
ways
to
activate
this
peak
state
at
team
level
remain
largely
understudied.
In
study,
by
integrating
challenge–hindrance
framework
with
productive
energy
theory,
we
illustrated
how
different
stressors
may
or
inhibit
flow
via
energy-based
mechanisms
(i.e.,
affective,
cognitive,
and
behavioral
energy).
We
also
explored
role
mindfulness
in
promoting
(re)shaping
members'
interactions
caused
stressors.
used
three-wave,
multisource
data
from
125
teams
high-technology
industry
test
these
arguments.
The
confirm
that
challenge
enhance
experience
increasing
energy,
whereas
hindrance
undermine
depleting
energy.
Team
strengthens
positive
effect
on
alleviates
depletion
stressors,
consequently
experience.
Our
findings
elucidate
formation
can
inform
practitioners
about
fuel

optimal
state.

Abstract
The
rise

Abstract
Prior

Purpose
This
study
aims
to
investigate
how
work
overload,
resulting
from
full-time
telecommuting,
aggravates
telecommuting
accounting
professionals’
burnout
via
the
mediation
of
exhaustion.

Abstract
This
study
explores
how
employees’
flow
experience
at
work
emerges,
is
sustained,
and
continuously
grows
over
time.
Based
on
the
job
demand-resource
model,
we
propose

more
