Abstract Aim A new, non‐invasive approach suggests using single intraoral optical scanning to analyze the ridge profile of single‐tooth gaps following alveolar preservation in absence a baseline scan. This method involves creating three‐dimensional (3D) surface map identify and assess contour changes profiles based on adjacent teeth. Materials Methods The present study was designed as cross‐sectional pilot analysis convenience sample patients undergoing preservation. Intraoral scans were taken 23 patients, capturing data from 30 edentulous sites. digital models then imported into an image software for 3D defect performed by one examiner. characterized buccolingual tooth gap relative 10 linear divergence points, spaced 0.5 mm apart corona‐apical direction, identified at midfacial aspect Based these points sites plotted grouped three different (linear, concave, convex). Clinical parameters including Keratinized mucosa Width (KMW), soft tissue phenotype with Colorvue biotype probes also recorded. Results Three patterns convex, concave) identified. Seven exhibited profile, displayed concave shape, 13 showed convex profile. had discrepancies similar neighboring In contrast, revealed mid‐buccal discrepancy localized only crestal aspect, while extended ranging 1 5 below margin. Univariate multiple logistic regression analyses did not reveal any statistically significant variables influencing profilometric analysis; however, when combining KMW, thick phenotypes demonstrated higher proportion concavity (OR = 4.83) compared thin ones, suggesting trend. With every increase probability showing decreased ( p 0.057). Conclusion represents useful tool objectively quantifying defects assessing differences dentition indicates that KMW may play critical role preventing defects. can guide decision‐making during augmentation procedures emphasizing specific location providing more detailed insights its localization. These enable tailoring flap management grafting strategies address patient's individual needs.

Background: Implant-prosthetic therapy requires a detailed assessment of the bone structure before designing personalized treatment plan. Tooth extraction at molar level is followed by series changes dependent on patient’s general condition and age area in which it was performed. The fractal analysis cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) represents way to assess quality post-extraction regeneration. purpose this study analyze alveolar after tooth using CBCT images. Methods: This retrospective included pre- CBCTs 3 months 60 patients who underwent 100 extractions first and/or second molars. Fractal images performed ImageJ, data obtained from measurements were statistically processed. A multiple regression model used factors influencing remodeling. Results: showed that most experienced advanced remodeling, being more pronounced those rural areas, vertical plane mandible molar. play an important role predicting resorption are represented group (age above 56 years old associated with less resorption), location (bone level), for higher). Conclusions: Post-extraction influenced patient extraction, maxilla having better values compared These results emphasize importance training implantologists evaluation improve implant-prosthetic decisions.

ABSTRACT Objectives This case report describes a digital workflow that integrates restorative and surgical planning through the design fabrication of multifunctional guide to optimize outcomes in treatment combined lesions. Clinical Considerations Gingival recessions frequently occur alongside non‐carious cervical lesions (NCCLs), forming defects complicate cementoenamel junction (CEJ) identification planning. A 40‐year‐old male presenting with gingival recession NCCLs on teeth #14 #15. restoration was planned reconstruct lost CEJ using clinical reference points. custom subsequently designed replicate restoration’s contour delineate intended incision patterns for coronally advanced flap (CAF) procedure. The executed composite resin, assisting achieving precise contouring. Root coverage then performed CAF connective tissue graft, facilitating accurate scalpel blade placement during preparation. At one‐year follow‐up, complete root observed maintained stability terms marginal adaptation, color, surface integrity. Conclusions use can enhance precision both procedures management NCCL defects, potentially improving predictability outcomes. Significance highlights benefits 3D‐printed treating associated NCCLs.

ABSTRACT Objectives The primary aim of this cross‐sectional study was to investigate the association between prosthesis design and peri‐implant mucosa dimensions morphology. secondary associations mucosal presence mucositis. Materials Methods Forty‐seven patients with 103 posterior bone level implants underwent clinical radiographic examination, including cone beam computer tomography intraoral optical scanning. Three‐dimensional models for each implant were constructed. Vertical height (TH), horizontal width at platform (TW), 1.5 mm coronal (TW1.5), as well emergence angle (MEA), deep (DA), total contour (TA) measured six sites implant. Results There a consistent correlation ( β = 0.217, p < 0.001), consistently surpassing by factor 1.4–2.1. All three angles (MEA, DA, TA) negatively associated while DA (TW1.5) 0.001, −0.02, 95% CI: −0.03, −0.01). significant negative bleeding on probing (BoP) (OR 0.903, 0.818–0.997, 0.043) 0.877, 0.778–0.989, 0.033). Implants less than half positive BoP (0–2/6) had significantly higher 3.51, 1.72–7.14, 0.001). Conclusions Prosthesis can influence mucosa, wider profile reduced height. In particular, is in sites. Reduced are more signs inflammation. Trial Registration Registered Thai Clinical Trials Registry: http://www.thaiclinicaltrials.org/show/TCTR20220204002 .

Objectives: Dental implants have become a cornerstone of restorative dentistry, providing long-lasting method for tooth replacement. The degree osseointegration has significant effect on biomechanical stability at the bone–implant contact (BIC), determining continued efficacy these implants. However, exact consequences changing levels different implant designs, especially in bones with variable densities, are not well known. Methods: This study used 3D finite element analysis (FEA) to look performance three short dental implants: BioMet 3iT3, Straumann® Standard Plus Short-Regular Neck (SPS-RN), and Short-Wide (SPS-WN). paper tested four stages osseointegration: 25%, 50%, 75%, 100% both high-density (bone type III) low-density IV) cancellous bone. It also created examined realistic CAD models under static occlusal loading conditions assess stress distribution major strains contact. Results: discovered that as increases, von Mises principal go down significantly all types. SPS-WN had lowest strain values, bone low density. These reductions demonstrate increased mechanical interface becomes more capable dispersing stresses, minimizing potential localized deformation resorption. Conclusions: results highlight importance achieving optimum reduce increase lifespan performed better tests than others, when were ideal. makes it great choice clinical applications need long-term success.

Abstract Background To compare bone regeneration and dimensional alteration of alveolar ridge at intact damaged extraction sockets after preservation (ARP) implant placement versus unassisted socket healing followed by guided (GBR) with simultaneous placement. Methods In 6 beagle dogs, 3 types in the mandible were created: (1) sockets, (2) 1‐wall defect (3) 2‐wall sockets. The allocated to undergo either ARP 8 weeks later (ARP group) or GBR (GBR group). After an additional period weeks, changes evaluated radiographically histologically. Results showed superior formation greater gains compared ARP, regardless initial extraction‐socket configuration. Although maintained preexisting dimensions, peri‐implant defects still detected follow‐up. Histomorphometric analyses confirmed that increased dimensions baseline, augmentation than ARP. Conclusion Early can mitigate narrow ridge. However, early creates conditions for enhanced around irrespective
