Drought is an increasingly critical global challenge, significantly impacting agricultural productivity, food security, and ecosystem stability. As climate change intensifies the frequency severity of drought events, innovative strategies are essential to enhance plant resilience sustain systems. This review explores vital role beneficial microbes in conferring tolerance, focusing on Plant Growth-Promoting Rhizobacteria (PGPR), mycorrhizal fungi, endophytes, actinomycetes, cyanobacteria. These microorganisms mitigate stress through diverse mechanisms, including osmotic adjustment, enhancement root architecture, modulation phytohormones, induction antioxidant defenses, regulation stress-responsive gene expression. Ecological innovations leveraging these have demonstrated significant potential bolstering resilience. Strategies such as soil microbiome engineering, bioaugmentation, integration microbial synergies within pest management frameworks sustainability. Abstract Despite growing interest in fungal necromass decomposition due to its importance soil carbon retention, whether a consistent group of microorganisms is associated with decomposing remains unresolved. Here, we synthesize knowledge on the composition bacterial and communities present from variety species, geographic locations, habitats, incubation times. We found that there core both genera (i.e. necrobiome), although specific size depended definition. Based metric included microbial frequency abundance, demonstrate taxonomically functionally diverse, including copiotrophs oligotrophs as well saprotrophs, ectomycorrhizal fungi, animal parasites. also show necrobiome notably dynamic over time, many having associations early, middle, or late stages decomposition. While this study establishes existence necrobiome, advocate profiling decomposer tropical environments other terrestrial biomes beyond forests needed fill key gaps regarding global nature necrobiome.

Abstract Parallel to the important use of pesticides in conventional agriculture there is a growing interest for green technologies clear contaminated soil from and their degradation products. One specific technique, inoculation degrading micro-organisms polluted soil, known as bioaugmentation, promising method still needs further developments. Specifically, improvements understanding how microorganisms must overcome abiotic filters interact with autochthonous microbial communities are needed order efficiently design bioremediation strategies. Here we designed protocol aiming at studying two herbicides, glyphosate (GLY) isoproturon (IPU), via experimental modifications source bacterial communities. We used statistical methods stemming genomic prediction link community composition herbicides potentials.
