Classic theories of stress and health are largely based on assumptions regarding how different psychosocial stressors influence biological processes that, in turn, affect human behavior. Although theoretically rich, this work has yielded little consensus led to numerous conceptual, measurement, reproducibility issues. Social Safety Theory aims address these issues by using the primary goal regulatory logic brain immune system as basis for specifying social-environmental situations which systems should respond most strongly maximize reproductive success survival. This analysis gave rise integrated, multi-level formulation described herein, transforms thinking about biology provides a biologically based, evolutionary account why experiences social safety threat related health, well-being, aging, longevity. Background Childhood maltreatment contributes to a large mental health burden worldwide. Different measures of childhood are not equivalent and may capture meaningful differences. In particular, prospective retrospective identify different groups individuals differentially associated with psychopathology. Adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) represent one of the most critical factors contributing to manifestation psychiatric disorders later in life. Furthermore, such are often associated with deficits interpersonal relationships, manifesting as mistrust and violent behaviors, indicative a fragmented personality. This study aimed analyze correlative relationships between personality influenced by ACEs expression reactive appetitive aggression using self-report questionnaires 53 male forensic patients drug dependency background detained under §64 German Criminal Code 2019 2022. Instruments included Operationalized Psychodynamic Diagnosis Structure Questionnaire (OPD-SF), Maltreatment Abuse Chronology Exposure Scale–German Version (KERF), Appetitive Facilitative Aggression Scale (AFAS). Specifically, OPD-SF used following subscales: self-perception, self-regulation, regulation object relations, emotional communication inward/outward, internal/external attachment, total score. The results demonstrate significant relationship traumatic experiences, structure, attachment capacity, both aggression. While association is intuitively plausible, findings notably reveal that propensity derive pleasure from violence also caused adverse experiences. These have important implications for treatment offenders should be considered therapeutic interventions.

Trust in health and other systems can affect uptake of public advice engagement with services. Individuals who had adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) are more likely to experience ill at earlier ages. Ensuring their services is important improving life course prospects, but little known about how ACEs trust such the information they provide. Data were collected via a national household survey residents Wales (aged ≥18 years, n=1880, November 2022-March 2023). Questions measured ACE exposure health, social, police, charities government, general provided by variety professionals sources. report low from hospital doctors, practitioners (GPs), nurses, pharmacists, NHS 111, an online telephone urgent care service (eg, adjusted prevalence: GPs, 0 5.3%, ≥4 10.4%; 11.9%, 24.1%). Low also increased ACEs, police being 3.8 times (vs ACEs). The highest prevalence was for rising 48.4% (0 ACEs) 73.7% (≥4 TV/radio programmes rose 17.6% 30.1% ACEs); social media higher equivalent rise 61.6% 75.6%. Breaking intergenerational cycles inequity requires engaging influencing those ACEs. However, history associated lower supporting institutions, professionals. Empirical data on which resources most trusted should be used facilitate better communications this vulnerable group.
