Abstract
Skin
aging
has
long
been
considered
a
purely
cosmetic
problem.
However,
as
life
expectancy
increases,
skin
is
taking
on
functional
dimension
that
goes
beyond
cosmetics
and
appearance.
Preventive
or
therapeutic
strategies
are
needed
to
target
cellular
senescence,
key
process
underlying
the
alterations
in
function
appearance
occur
with
aging,
well
address
age‐related
changes
associated
‘dermatoporosis’
chronic
insufficiency/fragility
syndrome.
Thus,
given
need
for
effective
anti‐aging
products
improve
both
of
skin,
it
essential
distinguish
active
ingredients
have
proven
be
effective,
among
large
number
available
over‐the‐counter
cosmeceuticals.
This
brief
review
focuses
core
