Abstract The onerous health and economic burden associated with head neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) is a global predicament. Despite the advent of novel surgical techniques therapeutic protocols, there an incessant need for efficacious diagnostic targets to monitor invasion, metastasis recurrence HNSCC due its substantial morbidity mortality. differential expression patterns histone deacetylases (HDACs), group enzymes responsible modifying histones regulating gene expression, have been demonstrated in neoplastic tissues. Collagen type IV α1 chain (COL4A1) is a collagen protein that acts as tumor-promoting factor in several types of cancer.
