Background: Mechanical plaque control is the first line of management chronic periodontitis.In recent years, a variety adjuncts including irrigants, chemical controlling agents, vitamin supplements, systemic and local antibiotics, drug delivery, herbal extracts, probiotics LASER are gaining importance.Aim: The aim study was to assess efficacy ozonated water 10 percent povidone iodine as sub gingival irrigant in periodontitis. Materials Methods:The present randomized clinical trial carried out from June 2020 December among 40 periodontitis patients who reported Department Periodontics, Saveetha Dental College Hospitals, Chennai, India.Participants were assigned two groups [Group 1 (10% iodine), Group 2 (ozonated water)].Scaling root planing done for all participants then pocket irrigated with respective irrigant.The parameters Loe Silness Gingival Index (GI), Pocket Depth (PD), Plaque index (PI) recorded at baseline after week.The data analyzed using Statistical Package Social Sciences (SPSS Software, Version 23.0).Unpaired t-test compare mean values index, depth between groups.Results: In group 1, reduced 2.89±0.03 2.20±0.03.In 2, 2.92±0.02 1.48±0.01.When compared both groups, 2.87±0.02 2.40±0.03.In 2.86±0.05 1.42±0.01.When probing 5±0.02 3±0.03.In 4±0.05 2±0.01.The difference found be statistically significant (p=0.000).Conclusion: Significant improvement suggests that subgingival irrigation could an effective adjunct scaling
