Biogenic

persist
after
they
form
SOAs
was
previously
unknown.
Here
we
show
that
Scots
pine
seedlings
damaged
by
large
weevils
feeding
on
their
roots
release
HIPVs
trigger
defenses
neighboring
conspecific
plants.
The
biological
activity
persisted
had
been
oxidized
to
SOAs,
which
indicated
receivers
displaying
enhanced
photosynthesis,
primed
volatile
and
reduced
weevil
damage.

(VOCs),

VOCs
with
great
sensitivity
discrimination.
This
sensing
can
trigger
increased
plant
fitness
reduce
future
damage
through
priming
their
own
defenses.
The
defense
mechanism
in
either
be

by
activation
regulatory
or
transcriptional
machinery,

generation
an

Despite

are
important
components
of
tea
aroma
due
to
their
unique
scents.
They
also
widely
used
in
the
cosmetic
and
medical
industries.
In

wounding,
light,

temperature,

stress
conditions,
leading

Sorghum
is
a
plant
belonging
to
the
Poaceae
family.
It
drought-resistant
and
has
low
soil
requirements.
In
face
of
climate
change,
it
increasingly
cultivated
in
Europe.
Poland

confirmed

introduction
sorghum
into
cultivation.
The

this
study
was
characterize
composition
bioactive
compounds
(i.e.,
phenolic
acids,
flavonoids,
carotenoids,
phytosterols)
VOCs
grain
two
varieties,
i.e.,
white
‘Sweet
Caroline’
red
Susana’
grown
temperate
(Pętkowo,
(52°12′40″
N
17°15′31″
E)).
