The overuse of antibiotics in aquaculture drives the emergence multi-drug-resistant bacteria, and antibiotic-resistant genes (ARGs) can be disseminated to other bacteria through vertical- horizontal gene transfer (VGT HGT) under selective pressure. Profiling antibiotic resistome understanding global distribution ARGs constitutes first step developing a control strategy. Hence, this study utilized extensive genomic data from hundreds Aeromonas strains profile patterns explores their association with isolation year, country, species characteristics. Abstract Surface‐based cages are the dominant production technology for marine finfish aquaculture industry. However, issues such as extreme weather events, poor environmental conditions, interactions with parasites, and conflicts other coastal users problematic surface‐based aquaculture. Submerged may reduce many of these problems commercial interest in their use has increased. a broad synthesis research into effects submerged culture on fish is lacking. Here, we review current status farming worldwide, outline biological challenges that fundamentally different buoyancy control physiologies face culture, discuss benefits might arise from farming. Abstract Antimicrobial resistance is a global public health crisis with attention focussed on food supply as part of the ‘One Health’ integration veterinary, environmental and health. Aquaculture has been fastest growing livestock sector in recent decades critical to nutritional security many low‐ middle‐income countries (LMIC). With ready access antibiotics limited availability veterinary support, disease control poorly informed, often unrecorded high where aquaculture growth fastest. Vaccination fish LMIC locally produced autogenous vaccines against bacterial diseases may provide driven, cost‐effective means reducing antibiotic use, replicating successes achieved during Norway's industry. Abstract. The dissolved oxygen (DO) levels of coastal ocean waters have decreased over the last few decades in part because increase surface and subsurface water temperature caused by climate change, reduction ventilation, stratification eutrophication. In addition, biological human activity zones, bays, estuaries has contributed to acceleration current loss. Patagonian fjord channel system is one world region where low-DO (LDOW, 30 %–60 % saturation) hypoxia conditions (<30 saturation, 2 mL L−1 or 89.2 µmol L−1) are observed. An situ dataset hydrographic biogeochemical variables (1507 stations), collected from sporadic oceanographic cruises between 1970 2021, was used evaluate mechanisms involved presence LDOW hypoxic northern fjords.
