Abstract A novel methodology for estimation of mass transfer in bubbly flows is investigated. The key advantage the research integration developed theoretical model absorption based on Levich’s theory and computer vision techniques. This demonstrates high accuracy predicting rates, which verified by comparisons with empirical data from experimental jet stream fermenter. Using high-speed video recordings advanced image processing algorithms, our approach overcomes limitations many direct methods measurement: offering real-time, dynamic intensity, scale-up flexibility low costs. analytical modeling represents a significant advancement field liquid–gas media estimation, paving way development more sophisticated effective measurement tools. proposed have adaptability can be useful to handle complex bubble dynamics both industrial tasks scientific research.

Abstract Aquaculture has been one of the fastest‐growing food production systems sectors for over three decades. With its growth, demand alternative, cheaper and high‐quality feed ingredients is also increasing. Innovation investments on providing new functional alternatives have yielded several viable alternative raw materials. Considering all current ingredients, their circular adaption in aquafeed manufacturing industry clearly utmost importance to achieve sustainable aquaculture near future. The use terrestrial plant materials animal by‐products predominantly used puts a heavily reliance agroecosystems, which own sustainability concerns. Therefore, needs progress with that must be more resilient consistent, considering perspective. In this review, we assess trends using various marine organisms, ranging from microorganisms (including fungi, thraustochytrids, microalgae bacteria) macroalgae macroinvertebrates as biological resources. This review focuses trend resources development value chains. this, present perspective promoting novel economy chains promote re‐use valuable ingredients. Thus, highlight some potentially important marine‐derived deserve further investigations improving or addressing aquaculture.

Low-fishmeal and protein-saving diets are two prominent nutritional strategies utilized to address challenges related the scarcity sustainability of protein sources in aquaculture. However, these have been associated with adverse effects on growth performance, feed utilization, disease resistance aquatic animals. To mitigate challenges, exogenous protease has applied enhance quality lower contents or fishmeal alternatives, thereby improving bioavailability ingredients. Additionally, preparations were also used enzymatically hydrolyze thus enhancing their utilization. The present review aims consolidate recent research progress use aquaculture conclude benefits limitations its application, providing a comprehensive understanding subject identifying opportunities for future research.

Cottonseed protein concentrate is a sustainable fishmeal alternative in aquafeed. A 10-week experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of cottonseed concentrate-based diet with and without multi-strain yeast fractions (MsYF) on growth, bile acid metabolism, health largemouth bass. Four hundred fish (54.0 ± 0.0 g) were casually distributed into 16 tanks (4 replicates/diet). Fish fed 4 iso-nitrogen iso-energetic diets 3 times daily, including (FM), soy (SPC; replacing 81% protein), (CPC; CPC supplemented 800 mg/kg MsYF (CPCY). Results showed that survival SPC lowest, i.e., 48%, no apparent effect among other treatments; we omitted additional analyses. lower growth than FM (P < 0.05). highest nuclear dense hepatic phenotypes ratio (50%), followed by CPCY (33%) (17%). Further, dietary increased total cholesterol triglyceride levels concurrently synthesis but decreased synthesis-associated transcription Furthermore, transport-associated 0.05), then induced an increment plasma cholic chenodeoxycholic content decrement genus Romboustia Regarding MsYF, reduced lipid accumulation 0.05) compared CPC, suggesting improvement liver health. Also, could reverse microbiota community structure showing similar gut microbial composition FM. In conclusion, replaced suppressed health, while might mitigate negative impact high level functions via regulation.

Aquaculture is one of the fastest-growing agricultural sectors globally and becoming increasingly important for producing sustainable healthy diets with relatively low climate impacts. In comparison to livestock production, especially beef, seafood production has lower carbon emissions. Additionally, some species can extract from aquatic environments, contributing an extended cycle. However, potential negative environmental consequences in aquaculture might increase growing global population demand food. Herein, we review effects different products on greenhouse gas (GHG) We also summarize approaches improving footprints mitigating change. Key elements, including feed efficiency, selecting suitable farmed species, implementing farming practices management aquaculture, are discussed, as well trade-offs between capture fisheries. Crucially, performance gaps among underscore consumer-oriented advice significantly reduce uncertainties knowledge related sequestration GHG emissions ponds necessitate further research. Overall, holistic evaluation strategic intervention regarding fundamental essential achieving a sustainable, low-carbon future aquaculture.

A 10-week growth study was conducted to evaluate the effect of a natural gas fermentation bacterial meal (FeedKind®, FK) as fishmeal (FM) alternative in largemouth bass (Micropterus salmoides) (48.0 ± 0.03 g). Four isonitrogenous and isoenergetic diets were formulated including one commercial control (C, 42% FM) three experimental with gradient FK 3% (FK3, 29%FM), 6% (FK6, 26%FM) 9% (FK9, 23%FM), respectively. FK-fed groups showed significantly higher SR than that C group. The WGR SGR fish fed FK3 FK6 those FK9, but not statistical different from apparent digestibility coefficients dry matter nutrients. Further, increased ratio SOD/MDA plasma liver, upregulation intestinal Keap1 downregulation HIF1α found FK3. Furthermore, microbial richness diversity.
