High-sensitivity sensors applied in various diagnostic systems are considered to be a promising technology the era of fourth industrial revolution. Biosensors that can quickly detect presence and concentration specific biomaterials receiving research attention owing breakthroughs detection technology. In particular, latest technologies involving miniaturization biosensors using nanomaterials, such as nanowires, carbon nanotubes, nanometals, have been widely studied. Nano-sized food assessment vivo measurements advantages rapid diagnosis, high sensitivity selectivity. Nanomaterial-based inexpensive fields. present society, where people paying health wellness, high-technology is becoming essential consumer demand for healthy increases. Thus, biosensor required medical Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) studied use electrochemical biosensors. The sensitive electrical characteristics CNTs allow them act electron transfer mediators CNT-based require novel immobilizing on electrodes, silicon wafers, templates. serve field-effect transistors (FET) increase sensitivity. this review, we critically discuss recent advances with receptors (antibodies, DNA fragments, other nanomaterials) evaluation, including pathogens, allergens, food-based substances.

The brain regulates multiple physiological processes in fish. Despite this, knowledge about the basic structure and function of distinct regions non-model fish species remains limited due to their diversity scarcity common biomarkers. In present study, four major parts, telencephalon, diencephalon, mesencephalon rhombencephalon, were isolated largemouth bass, Micropterus salmoides . Within these nine 74 nuclei further identified through morphological cytoarchitectonic analysis. Transcriptome analysis revealed a total 7153 region-highly expressed genes 176 region-specifically genes. Genes related growth, reproduction, emotion, learning, memory significantly overexpressed olfactory bulb telencephalon (OBT). Feeding stress-related hypothalamus (Hy). Visual system-related predominantly enriched optic tectum (OT), while vision hearing-related widely cerebellum (Ce) region. Sensory input motor output-related medulla oblongata (Mo). Osmoregulation, stress response, sleep/wake cycles, reproduction-related highly remaining (RB). Three candidate marker for each regions, such as neuropeptide FF ( npff ) OBT, pro-melanin-concentrating hormone pmch Hy, vesicular inhibitory amino acid transporter viaat OT, excitatory 1 eaat1 Ce, peripherin prph Mo, isotocin neurophysin itnp RB. Additionally, distribution seven neurotransmitter-type neurons five types non-neuronal cells across different analyzed by examining expression Notably, glutamatergic GABAergic showed highest levels all regions. Similarly, gene radial astrocytes exhibited high compared other markers, those microglia least expressed. Overall, our results provide comprehensive overview structural functional characteristics which offers valuable resource understanding role central nervous system regulating teleost.

ABSTRACT Neuropeptides are highly variable but widely conserved molecules, the main functions of which regulation and coordination physiological processes behaviors. They synthesized in nervous system generally act on other neuronal non‐neuronal tissues or organs. In recent years, diverse neuropeptide isoforms their receptors have been identified different fish species, regulating neuroendocrine (e.g., corticotropin‐releasing hormone arginine vasotocin), immune vasoactive intestinal polypeptide somatostatin), digestive Y), reproductive isotocin) systems, as well commensal microbiota. Interestingly, all these carried out by neuropeptides integrated into manifested externally behavior affective states fish, thus having an impact modulation actions. this sense, monitoring may represent a new approach to assess animal welfare, targeting both aspects fish. Therefore, although there many studies investigating action wide range paradigms, especially mammals, study within welfare framework is scarce. To best our knowledge, first review that gathers integrates up‐to‐date information from perspective. review, we summarize current findings discuss possible implication emotional state therefore welfare.

ABSTRACT The hypothalamus plays a crucial role in regulating feeding behavior fish. In this Review, we aim to summarise current knowledge on specific mechanisms for sensing glucose, fatty acids and amino fish, consider how information is integrated the modulate feed intake. neuronal populations nucleus lateralis tuberalis (NLTv) of are equipped with nutrient sensors hormone receptors, allowing them respond changes metabolite levels hormonal signals. These neurons produce orexigenic (Npy Agrp) anorexigenic (Pomc Cart) neuropeptides, which stimulate suppress appetite, respectively. modulation involves adjusting expression these neuropeptides based physiological conditions, ultimately influencing through reciprocal inhibition signalling higher-order neurons. activation fish leads an enhanced effect, downregulation agrp npy, upregulation cart pomc. Connections between hypothalamic other various brain regions contribute intricate regulation behaviour Understanding intake regulated processes relevant understanding evolution also important context aquaculture.

This study investigated the effects of glucose (GLU), tapioca starch (TS), gelatinized (GTS), potato (PS) and (GPS) on growth physiological responses in juvenile largemouth bass Micropterus salmoides. After 8 weeks, fish fed with diets had better weight gain rates. Counts red blood cells monocytes were increased PS GPS groups, compared to GLU group. Contents serum triglyceride total cholesterol markedly elevated TS, groups. There lower levels glucose, insulin cholecystokinin, higher agouti-related peptide contents group could enhance glycolysis TCA cycle by increasing their enzyme activities transcriptional levels. Additionally, sources heightened mRNA key genes involved respiratory electron transport chain. antioxidant shown TS GTS Moreover, promote immunity upregulating complement system, lysozyme hepcidin. Taken together, exhibited via GLU, improve immune capacities bass.
