Abstract A novel methodology for estimation of mass transfer in bubbly flows is investigated. The key advantage the research integration developed theoretical model absorption based on Levich’s theory and computer vision techniques. This demonstrates high accuracy predicting rates, which verified by comparisons with empirical data from experimental jet stream fermenter. Using high-speed video recordings advanced image processing algorithms, our approach overcomes limitations many direct methods measurement: offering real-time, dynamic intensity, scale-up flexibility low costs. analytical modeling represents a significant advancement field liquid–gas media estimation, paving way development more sophisticated effective measurement tools. proposed have adaptability can be useful to handle complex bubble dynamics both industrial tasks scientific research.

This study was carried out to search for the protein requirement of a new strain preponderant amphitriploid Carassius clone, which integrated genomes partly from white crucian carp (C. auratus cuvieri). Seven groups fish (body weight: 9.73 ± 0.03 g) were fed with seven isolipidic and isocarbohydrate diets containing 21.38%, 25.82%, 27.94%, 31.36%, 34.23%, 37.87%, 40.70% crude (P21, P24, P27, P30, P33, P36, P39), respectively. After 8-week feeding, weight gain rate (WGR) specific growth (SGR) lower in P30 group than those P39 group, but no difference found final body (FBW), survival, condition factor (CF), or hepatosomatic index (HSI) between different groups. Increased dietary decreased feeding (FR) viscerosomatic (VSI) while improved feed efficiency (FE). Decreased retention (PRE) activity liver alanine aminotransferase (ALT) content plasma ammonia suggested intensified amino acid catabolism high The clone as low 21.38% growth. optimal FE 39.62% should be less 30.56% maintain maximum retention. High might harmful due increased contents malondialdehyde (MDA) cortisol. Dietary level altered muscle flavor substance composition. Low could obtain fatty acid, free lipid accumulation, including whole lipid, total triglyceride (TG), cholesterol (TC), high-density lipoprotein (HDL-c), low-density (LDL-c). Therefore, recommended this juvenile 21.38%-30.56%.

Due to the increasing global demand for feed protein, microbial protein has great potential of being able sustainably. However, application in animal cultivation industry is still limited by its high cost and availability on scale. From viewpoint industrial production, it vital specify crucial processes components further technical exploration process optimization. This article presents state-of-the-art technologies non-protein nitrogen (NPN) assimilation production. Nitrogen sources are one main factors media used large-scale fermentation. Therefore, available NPN synthesis, utilization mechanisms, fermentation corresponding strain reviewed this paper. Especially, random mutagenesis adaptive laboratory evolution (ALE) approach combined with (ultra-) throughput screening provided impetus increase yield. Despite underlying technological advances production extensive research development efforts required before commercial feed.

The global protein gap is widening due to population growth, and traditional sources, such as soybeans, are insufficient. Single-cell proteins provide another option, but heterotrophic bacteria emit CO2 during production, the production by alga restricted light supply. Sulfur-oxidizing (SOB) can use reduced sulfur synthesize bacterial with a high methionine content, which be used supplement animal feed. So SOB potential producers coupled utilization. However, their efficiency still low compared alga, should further enhanced through energy optimization metabolic regulation.

In an effort to minimize the usage of fishmeal in aquaculture, novel protein diets, including Tenebrio molitor, cottonseed concentrate, Clostridium autoethanogenum, and Chlorella vulgaris were evaluated for their potential replace fishmeal. Nevertheless, comprehensive examinations on gut health aquatic animals under alternate feeding strategy when fed diets are vacant. Five isonitrogenous isolipidic containing various proteins manufactured, with a diet consisting whole serving as control experimental diets. Largemouth bass (Micropterus salmoides) initial body weight 4.73 ± 0.04g employed animal given these five first 29 days followed by next days. The results this study demonstrated that growth performance second stage was better than stage, even though only C. increased antioxidant capacity concentrate decreased it. Concerning intestinal barriers, autoethanogenum lowered permeability plasma IL-1β/TNF-α. addition, contents immunological factors, namely LYS sIgA-like, greater From data analysis microbiome metabolome, levels short chain fatty acids (SCFAs), anaerobic bacteria, Lactococcus, Firmicutes significantly higher diet, while abundance Pseudomonas, aerobic Streptococcus, Proteobacteria lowest. However, no extremely large differences microbiota or observed between other diet. strongly connected SCFAs, lipase activity, tight junctions, shown Mantel test Pearson's correlation. Taken together, according Z-score, ranking advantageous functions among > T. molitor This provides illustrating mixed blessing effect juvenile largemouth strategy.

Exploring alternatives to fishmeal (FM) in aquaculture nutrition remains a hot topic this area. Yarrowia lipolytica (YL), promising single-cell protein source, has yet be evaluated for its use on the Pacific white shrimp ( Litopenaeus vannamei ) diet. This investigation assessed effects of YL growth performance, metabolism, antioxidant capacity, and nutrient digestibility shrimp. Seven diets with equal lipid contents were prepared, incorporating gradient (dry matter basis): 0% (control), 1.50%, 3.00%, 4.50%, 6.00%, 9.00%, 12.00%. During 56-day feeding trial involving shrimp, an initial average weight 0.32 ± 0.02 g, each kind diet was randomly assigned six tanks. It observed that performance improved initially but then exhibited declining trend as dietary inclusion increased. Regression analysis indicated 2.68% optimal percentage specific rate (SGR), accounting 10.54% FM content. A higher (over 6.00%), which is equivalent replacing over 23.6% FM, led increased feed intake conversion ratios, possibly correlating decreased digestibility. However, across studied range had no detrimental impact intestinal or hepatopancreatic morphology. Notably, levels significantly enhanced trypsin activity reduced serum triglyceride cholesterol levels. The notably augmented defense mechanisms evidenced by total capacity catalase activities, well malondialdehyde hepatopancreas, due presence β-glucan mannan oligosaccharides YL. These findings support being viable source feeds.
