Broodstock nutrition is the most essential constituent of sustainable aquaculture production. Its impact on reproductive performance and profitability commercial has been subject considerable research. The present paper reviews literature available subject, examining implication Nile tilapia broodstock parameters including maturation, fecundity, fertilization, embryo development, larval quality, survival rate. provision a nutritive diet composed macro- micronutrients proteins, lipids, carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals, functional additives, such as prebiotics, enzymes, hormones, probiotics, in different proportions discussed. Special emphasis given to dealing with effects dietary protein lipid vitellogenesis ovarian egg hatching rate, fry number. feeding regime described.

ABSTRACT Bay laurel ( Laurus nobilis ) essential oil is known for its antimicrobial, anti‐inflammatory, and antioxidant properties. This study examined the effects of L. (LN) on Nile tilapia Oreochromis niloticus under cold stress conditions (16°C). Tilapia (initial weight, 5.02 ± 0.02 g) were acclimatized to 16°C 14 days before being fed diets containing 0, 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, 2.5 g/kg LN 84 days. The 1.5 group exhibited highest final body weight gain p ≤ 0.05), while survival rates peaked at 1 g/kg. Biometric indices feed efficiency significantly enhanced, particularly 0.05). Histological analysis revealed improved intestinal hepatic structures in LN‐supplemented groups, although mild alterations observed 2.0 Blood biochemical showed increased total protein reduced cholesterol supplemented groups. Immune responses, including serum lysozyme activity bacterial inhibition, enhanced or higher Antioxidant enzyme activities, superoxide dismutase (SOD) catalase (CAT), 0.05) with supplementation, malondialdehyde (MDA) levels decreased, indicating oxidative stress. Gene expression demonstrated insulin‐like growth factor glucose transporter 4 oil, tumor necrosis factor‐alpha decreased dosages. Dietary g/kg, enhances growth, immunity, defense Future studies should optimize dosages explore broader applications across species conditions.

Tilapia is the world’s most extensively farmed species after carp. It an attractive for aquaculture as it grows quickly, reaching harvest size within six to seven months of production, and provides important source food revenue many low-income families, especially in low- middle-income countries. The expansion tilapia has resulted intensification farming systems, this been associated with increased disease outbreaks caused by various pathogens, mostly bacterial viral agents. Vaccination routinely used control higher-value finfish species, such Atlantic salmon. At same time, farmers are often unwilling vaccinate their fish injection once have moved grow-out site. Alternative vaccination strategies needed help accept use vaccines. There increasing interest nanoparticle-based vaccines alternative methods delivering fish, oral immersion administration. They can potentially improve vaccine efficacy through controlled release antigens, protecting antigens from premature proteolytic degradation gastric tract, facilitating antigen uptake processing antigen-presenting cells. also allow targeted delivery at mucosal sites. This review a brief overview diseases affecting tilapia. focuses on nanovaccines acceptance farmers.

Abstract The aquaculture industry is suffering from significant financial setbacks due to an increasing frequency of disease outbreaks, posing a threat the sector’s sustainability. Various bacterial, viral, parasitic, and fungal pathogens have led massive mortalities in farmed fish worldwide. Throughout years, management diseases has predominantly centered around utilization conventional antibiotics chemicals. Nevertheless, their indiscriminate use given rise serious implications, including increase resistant pathogens, disruptions metabolic processes fish, degradation aquatic environment, presence drug residues products, potential human health. effective bio-based immunoprophylaxis alternative therapies been developed overcome these impediments. Recent therapeutic approaches encompass range strategies, phytotherapeutics, nanotherapeutics, probiotics, prebiotics, synbiotics, phage therapy, vaccination, quorum quenching, antimicrobial peptides, biosurfactants, bacteriocins, stem cells, diagnostic-based therapy. Advancements biotechnology significantly enhanced efficacy therapies. However, additional research essential refine approaches. Critical concerns, such as efficacy, cost, risks, availability, adverse effects on ecosystem, need be addressed establish guidelines for sustainable application aquaculture. This review will aquaculturists’ awareness recent used farming, mechanisms, challenges, impacts while promoting sustainability commercial
