Phyto additives and their bioactive ingredients prove to be effective in enhancing the nutritional content of fish feed. This study aimed elucidate impact incorporating powdered herbal seeds (fennel, fenugreek, anise) as feed supplements at 5 g / kg on zootechnical performance, entire body chemical composition, hemogram, hepato-renal biomarkers, immune response, diversity intestinal microbiota European sea bass (Dicentrarchus labrax). During a 90-day feeding trial, cohort 240 with an average weight 9.52 ± 0.17 were mono-cultured concrete tanks within hapa net enclosures (1 m3) stocking density 20 fish/hapa. The results revealed significant enhancements gain (P ≤ 0.001), conversion ratio < 0.05), visceral somatic index relative gut length Fulton's factor 0.01), along reduction mortality rate 0.01) across dietary groups compared control one. Nonetheless, proximate composition function measures not significantly affected > 0.05). This study aimed to the effects of single or combined dietary supplementation xylooligosacharides (XOs), prebiotics derived from agricultural waste and mixed probiotics (Bacillus subtilis TISTR 008 Lactobacillus plantarum 1854) on growth performance, flesh quality, health condition disease resistance in Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus). Fish received four types diets: a basal diet (control); XOs (prebiotics); mixture Bacillus 1854 (probiotics); combination probiotic (synbiotics) for 56 days. The results show that prebiotics, probiotics, synbiotics improved performance including final body weight, weight gain, average daily protein efficiency ratio compared control diet. Interestingly, feed conversion was by supplementation. Concurrently, innate immunity parameters such as total antioxidant, lysozyme, catalase, glutathione S transferase were mostly higher fish fed diets. Moreover, we observed significant increases digestive enzyme activities, protease, amylase, lipase, After feeding trial, intraperitoneally injected with Streptococcus agalactiae, cumulative 14-day mortality rate calculated. High survival rates all groups their feed. improvement is correlated an increase transcriptional levels immune- growth-related factors. this highlights use containing boost PUFA n-3 n-6 content fillets. Our findings indicate adding significantly enhances overall when synbiotics. In summary, may have potential organic compounds specific synbiotic products aquaculture industry right proportions.

Abstract Background In this study, the protective immunity and immunogenicity of monovalent bivalent Streptococcus iniae Vibrio harveyi vaccine were evaluated in Asian seabass. To analyze immune responses, 1200 seabass with an average weight 132.6 ± 25.4 g divided into eight treatments triplicates (50 fish per tank) as follows: S. immunized by injection (SI), V. (VI), (SVI) injection, immersion (SIM), (VIM) immersion, harvei (SVIM) phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) (PBSI) control group without administration (CTRL). Blood serum samples taken at end 30th 60th days. Then vaccinated groups challenged two bacteria ( ) separately mortality was recorded for 14 Results This study reveals that there is no significant difference hematological parameters on days experiment vaccine-immunized compared to CTRL P > 0.05). Meanwhile, amount albumin level, respiratory burst activity, bactericidal activity Total protein day (in VI SVI groups), globulin groups) group) PBSI had a increase < Complement lysozyme SI increased significantly Serum antibody titer against SI, VI, SVIM A relative percentage survival (RPS) following challenge (86.6%), (83.3%,) (73.3%) observed (43.3%) (40%) Also, RPS after group, 86.6%, 83.3%, VIM 80% 76.6% (46.6%) (50%) Conclusion Overall, results demonstrated harvey able produce

One of the main challenges in aquaculture is pathogenic bacterial control. Streptococcus iniae stands out for its ability to cause high mortality rates populations commercially important fish and recent recognition as an emerging zoonotic pathogen. The rise identifying over 80 strains some displaying antibiotic resistance coupled with occurrence infections marine mammal species wild underscores urgent need understanding pathogenesis, virulence drug mechanisms this bacterium. This crucial ensure effective control strategies. In context, present review conducts a bibliometric analysis examine research trends related S. iniae, extending into infection, virulence, strategies, whose relevance highlighted on vaccines probiotics strengthen host immune system. Despite advances field, developing more efficient identification methods evident, since they constitute basis accurate diagnosis treatment.

Effectively treating and preventing outbreaks is crucial for improving the economic benefits of aquaculture. Therefore, utilizing immunostimulants, either alone or in combination, regarded as a promising strategy. In this study, β-glucan + APS (200 mg/kg 200 mg/kg), enrofloxacin (15 sulfadiazine mg/kg) were added to feed assess effects against Nocardia seriolae infection largemouth bass (Micropterus salmoides) within 14 days. The survival rates did not differ between group group, but both significantly higher than that control group. Additionally, exhibited lowest bacterial loads tissue damage. Importantly, treatment improved serum enzyme activities (total superoxide dismutase, lysozyme, total protein) expression immune genes (IL-1β, TNF-α, IFN-γ, IgM) compared other groups. showed similar efficacy combating N. infection, developed drug resistance. summary, combined use strategy diseases, thereby contributing promotion sustainable aquaculture development.

Tilapia lake virus (TiLV) presents a substantial threat to global tilapia production. Despite the development of numerous cell lines for TiLV isolation and propagation, none have been specifically derived from red hybrid (Oreochromis spp.). In this study, we successfully established new line, RHTiB, brain. RHTiB cells were cultured 1.5 years through over 50 passages demonstrated optimal growth at 25 °C in Leibovitz-15 medium supplemented with 10% fetal bovine serum pH 7.4. Morphologically, displayed fibroblast-like appearance, cytochrome oxidase I gene sequencing confirmed their origin Oreochromis spp. Mycoplasma contamination testing yielded negative results. The revival rate post-cryopreservation was observed be between 75 80% after 30 days. Chromosomal analysis 25th passage revealed diploid count 22 pairs (2n = 44). While no visible cytopathic effects observed, both immunofluorescence microscopy RT-qPCR successful propagation maximum concentration 107.82 ± 0.22 viral copies/400 ng cDNA 9 days incubation. establishment species-specific line represents valuable advancement diagnostic tools diseases potentially impacting tilapia.
