A future agenda for environmental restorative justice? The challenges of developing meaningful regulation to protect communities and the environment have never been greater. Environmental regulators are regularly criticised failing act hard consistently, in turn leading demands harsher punishments more rigorous enforcement. Whilst acknowledging need strong enforcement address wantonly destructive practices threatening ecosystems, we argue that approaches an important role. This article explores a justice through (1) situating it within existing scholarly practice-based traditions; (2) identifying key elements (3) raising particular theoretical practical challenges. Integrated water resources management (IWRM) has been central to governance and worldwide since the 1990s. Recognizing significance of an integrated approach as a way achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), IWRM was formally incorporated part SDG global indicator framework, thus committing UN its Member States achieving high implementation by 2030 measuring progress through 6.5.1. This paper examines extent which improves sustainable health water-related ecosystems-a first-of-its-kind in terms quantitative analysis on scale. To this objective, we conducted regression analyses between 6.5.1 (both (total score) dimensions 6.5.1) key environmental sustainability indicators: 6.2.1a (access basic sanitation), 6.3.1 (treated wastewater), 6.4.1 (water-use efficiency), 6.4.2 (water stress), 6.6.1 (freshwater ecosystems, although here trophic state turbidity variables were used) 6.3.2 (ambient quality). Our covers 124 countries for all these SDGs, with exception 6.3.2, cover 112 85 countries, respectively. Results show that IWRM-to different degrees-is mainly associated good status indicators, stress, quality, turbidity. We observe strong impact control such arrangements, economic situation geographical conditions. Lagged effects scope framework may also explain some observed variations degree association. study highlights importance further uncovering interlinkages achievement sustainability. Overall, results suggest is primarily linked systems, context-specific factors should be taken into account when evaluating effectiveness, enable policy- decision-makers make necessary adjustments optimize outcomes.

The presence of pollutants in our atmosphere has become one humanity’s greatest challenges. These pollutants, produced primarily by burning fossil fuels, are detrimental to human health, climate and agriculture. This work proposes the use a spatiotemporal graph neural network, designed forecast ozone concentration based on GraphSAGE paradigm, aid understanding dynamic nature these pollutants’ production proliferation urban areas. model was trained tested using data from Houston, Texas, United States, with varying numbers time-lags, horizons (1, 3, 6 h ahead), input nearby stations. results show that proposed GNN-SAGE successfully recognized patterns underlying data, bolstering its forecasting performance when compared benchmarking persistence 33.7%, 48.7% 57.1% for 1, 3 horizons, respectively. produces error levels lower than we could find existing literature. conclusions drawn variable importance SHAP analysis also revealed predicting ozone, solar radiation becomes relevant as time horizon is raised. Implementation research focused individual instead studying challenges organizations face dealing with growing stocks. In this paper, we address gap three ways. First, introduce novel concept organizational 'policy triage' which captures effectiveness from an rather than a policy-based perspective. Second, develop theoretical framework to account for variations prevalence triage across organizations. We argue that is affected by interplay several factors related (1) overload vulnerability and (2) compensation.
