This review focuses on the role of microorganisms in promoting health and immune function within school environments. Microbes, including bacteria, viruses, fungi, other microorganisms, constitute human microbiome play a crucial various bodily functions system development. The complex interactions between schools, where children spend significant amount time, are not fully understood. While schools have traditionally emphasized hygiene practices to prevent spread infectious diseases, recent research has highlighted potential consequences reduced microbial exposure during early life. “hygiene hypothesis” suggests that limited microbes infancy may increase risk allergies, asthma, autoimmune diseases adulthood. paper explores diversity found benefits different implications It also examines current intervention strategies their influence overall schools. Understanding environments for public policies educational practices, aiming create healthier more conducive learning younger generation. By comprehensively exploring this topic, contributes broader understanding significance settings its relevance future research.

The human microbiome, a complex ecosystem of microorganisms residing in and on the body, plays pivotal role regulation wide range physiological processes, including digestion, immune responses, metabolic functions. In recent years, rapidly growing field microbiome-driven therapeutics has garnered significant attention owing to its potential revolutionize healthcare. This review explores evolving landscape microbiome-based therapies, with particular focus gut microbiome implications for both health precision medicine. We highlight advances understanding how microbial communities influence disease pathogenesis treatment outcomes, spanning conditions such as inflammatory bowel (IBD), disorders, neurological diseases, even cancer. article also discusses emerging therapeutic strategies, probiotics, prebiotics, fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT), microbial-based drugs, well challenges associated their clinical implementation. Additionally, we examined integration profiling metagenomic data is advancing medicine, paving way personalized effective treatments. serves comprehensive resource that synthesizes current knowledge, identifies key gaps research, offers insights into future direction therapeutics, thus providing valuable framework clinicians, researchers, policymakers seeking harness microbiomes advance healthcare solutions.

Abstract Social disparities continue to limit universal access health care, directly impacting both lifespan and quality of life. Concomitantly, the gut microbiome has been associated with downstream outcomes including global rise in antibiotic resistance. However, limited evidence exists examining socioeconomic status (SES) associations composition. To address this, we collected information on community-level SES, microbiota, other individual cofactors colonization by multidrug-resistant organisms (MDROs) an adult cohort from Wisconsin, USA. We found association between SES microbial composition that is mediated food insecurity. Additionally, observed a higher prevalence MDROs isolated individuals low diversity microbiomes neighborhood SES. Our integrated population-based study considers how interplay several social economic factors combine influence while providing framework for developing future interventions help mitigate gap.

The human microbiome seeding starts at birth, when pioneer microbes are acquired mainly from the mother. Mode of delivery, antibiotic prophylaxis, and feeding method have been studied as modulators mother-to-infant transmission, but other key influencing factors like modern westernized lifestyles with high hygienization, high-calorie diets, urban settings, compared non-westernized not investigated yet. In this study, we explored mother-infant sharing characterized uncharacterized members via strain-resolved metagenomics in a cohort Ethiopian mothers infants, them four cohorts different lifestyles. newborns' microbiomes composition overlapped during first months life more than later life, likely reflecting similar initial breast-milk-based diets. infants shared smaller fraction their did most populations, despite showing higher diversity, species represented substantial those cohort. Moreover, identified belonging to Selenomonadaceae Prevotellaceae families specifically present only cohort, showed that locally produced fermented food, injera, can contribute diversity observed infants' gut bacteria part through food consumption. Taken together, these findings highlight fact lifestyle impact differences diet, drug consumption, environmental also its effect on strain-sharing patterns.
