Background: Since its launch in 2017, TikTok has rapidly emerged as a major player the digital landscape, amassing over billion active users. Its engaging features have raised concerns about potential problematic use and negative mental health outcomes. Despite increasing scholarly attention, consolidated understanding of TikTok’s implications remains elusive This systematic review synthesizes empirical research on impact health. Methods: followed PRISMA Statement 2020 guidelines conducted comprehensive search across PubMed, Embase, Scopus, Web Science, PsycINFO databases until July 10, 2024. Keywords included terms related to use, addiction, use. Studies were based focus publication peer-reviewed journals. Results: 26 studies, involving total 11 462 participants. pooled prevalence estimated at 80.19%, with highest rates observed among people aged 18 29 years, where it reached 85.4%. There is a growing body of literature exploring the types substance-related content and their portrayals on various social media platforms. A comprehensive search conducted in databases PubMed, Scopus, PsycINFO Web Science April 2021. Original qualitative studies published post-2004 that included thematic sentiment analyses tobacco, alcohol, psychostimulant, e-cigarette, cannabis, opiate, stimulant/amphetamine, inhalant novel psychoactive substance were included. Abstract Introduction Previous research has identified abundant e-cigarette content on social media using primarily text-based approaches. However, frequently used platforms among youth, such as TikTok, contain visual content, requiring the ability to detect e-cigarette-related across large sets of videos and images. This study aims use a computer vision technique objects in TikTok videos.
