The emergence of the metaverse has expanded vital role virtual worlds in education. It extends traditional configuration spaces by offering a more immersive, interactive, and social experience. Unfortunately, there is insufficient literature on how to develop application aligned with academic standards best practices. In this study, we adopted co-design approach remodeling our mobile educational draw blueprint for existing future technology adopters. We sent follow-up survey stakeholders inviting free-text comments. This focused challenges, issues, expected features from perspectives developers, teachers, students, respectively. Our results revealed several challenges that developers face when building metaverse, such as technical infrastructure, student engagement, avatar customization, performance optimization. Meanwhile, teachers emphasized potential issues may arise use settings, learning outcomes, health safety, digital citizenship, ethics morality. Finally, students key an application, socialization collaboration, world interactions, optimization, realistic graphics, minigames activities. implications these findings are significant can help other institutions seeking integrate into their services. Overall, study presents initial foundation further exploration advancement within rapidly evolving field technology.

These innovations led to the adoption of virtual campus tours provide prospective students with an immersive expedition into school facilities replicated a digital environment. Immersive technologies have generated significant interest across various academic disciplines. The necessity for more authentic, interactive, and immersive artificial environments led to the growing popularity of metaverse. Unfortunately, not all metaverse types been broadly covered in educational research. This inadequacy highlights a gap understanding potential benefits drawbacks education. To address this research gap, we created called "MILES Virtual World" that embodies concepts lifelogging mirror worlds. Following principles Embodied Social Presence Theory, application allows students socialize through customizable avatars engage variety activities closely resemble those physical world. We adopted mixed-method approach using convergent parallel design evaluate application. Our quantitative analysis reveals feel highly present engaged virtual environment, with sense agency immersion. It also underscores importance enhancing embodiment copresence create effective world experiences opportunities social interactions. Meanwhile, our qualitative uncovers several underlying subthemes, including avatar customization, identity exploration, items, communication, entertainment, autonomy, freedom expression, realism, challenges, shared experiences, belonging within Overall, study provides valuable insights into technology context, how it can be harnessed engaging students.
