Audio presentation is often attributed as being capable of influencing a viewer’s feeling immersion during an audiovisual experience. However, there limited empirical research supporting this claim. This study aimed to explore effect by presenting clip renowned for its immersive soundtrack two groups participants with either high-end or basic audio presentation. To measure immersion, novel method applied, which utilises camera instead electroencephalogram (ECG) acquiring heart rate synchronisation feature. The results the showed no difference in feature, responses established questionnaire, between participants. camera-sourced HR synchronicity feature correlated questionnaire. Moreover, was found correlate equivalent sourced from synchronously recorded ECG data. Hence, shows viability using sensor quantify but suggests that alone not eliciting measurable context.

Abstract Background Both learning and problem solving are major goals of complex in engineering education. The order knowledge construction through solving, however, has not been explained current literature. Objectives To understand their relationships, this study compared the effects different goal type orders on collaborative simulation‐based inquiry solving. Methods In study, 24 undergraduate students worked pairs to solve a wind tunnel using computer simulation application. Process mining epistemic network analysis were used model process identify patterns based log data discussion discourse. Results Conclusions results showed first assigned subtask influenced strategies medium‐performance learners most. addition, had influence learners' process. with problem‐solving (Problem goal‐Learning condition) more trials centered discourse around clarification while (Learning goal‐Problem connected reflection other phases often. findings suggested assigning simulated‐based could be as an idea‐centered scaffolding, especially for learners. However, low‐performance would experience “situate paradox” needs extra guidance. It is important monitor even when seeking solution task.

With the rapid development of ICT, E-learning has experienced exponential growth and drastic transformation in past years (Yao et al, 2022). works on model virtual education. There are different formats, like fully online learning, hybrid learning which uses combination in-person components, Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) enable course engagement across globe. The domain explores innovative pedagogical approaches. This chapter discusses various formats such as courses, blended models, (MOOCs). It approaches, popular theories adaptive technologies to cater diverse styles, based cognitive science principles. Chapter further highlights e-learning, its due advancements Information Communication Technology (ICT) important theoretical frameworks understand components e-learning. At end this chapter, challenges future research directions discussed.
