This study is the first to evaluate protein glycooxidation products, lipid oxidative damage and nitrosative stress in non-stimulated (NWS) stimulated whole saliva (SWS) of children with chronic kidney disease (CKD) divided into two subgroups: normal salivary secretion (n = 18) hyposalivation (NWS flow < 0.2 mL min−1; n 12). Hyposalivation was observed all patients severe renal failure (4–5 stage CKD), while > mL/min mild-moderate CKD (1–3 stage) controls. Oxidative stress (OS) is a redox homeostasis disorder that results in oxidation of cell components and thus disturbs metabolism. OS induced by numerous internal as well external factors. According to recent studies, dental treatment may also be one them. The aim our work was assess the effect on balance oral cavity.
