In recent years, there has been a considerable rise in the production of novel metabolites derived from fungi compared to ones originating bacteria. These organic substances are utilized various sectors such as farming, healthcare, and pharmaceutical. Since all dividing living cells contain primary metabolites, secondary synthesized by utilizing intermediate compounds or by-products generated metabolic pathways. Secondary not critical for growth development an organism; however, they exhibit variety distinct biological characteristics. White-rot only microorganisms able decompose wood components. Hence, play important role both carbon nitrogen cycles decomposing non-living substrates. They ubiquitous nature, particularly hardwood (e.g., birch aspen) forests. fungi, besides ligninolytic enzymes, produce different bioactive during their metabolism including some with antimicrobial anticancer properties. Such properties could be potential interest pharmaceutical industries. Considering importance untapped biologically active white-rot present paper reviews produced interesting bioactivities.

Secondary metabolites are hidden gems in mushrooms. Understanding these secondary metabolites' biological and pharmacological effects can be aided by identifying them. The purpose of this work was to profile the mycochemical components extracts Auricularia auricula judae, Microporus xanthopus, Termitomyces umkowaani, Trametes elegans, versicolor comprehend their capabilities. Mushroom samples were collected from Kenya's Arabuko-Sokoke Kakamega National Reserved Forests identified using morphological molecular techniques. Chloroform, 70% ethanol, hot water solvents used extract components. Gas chromatography mass spectrometry (GC-MS) analyze chloroform, all species examined. A total 51 compounds isolated classified as carboxylic acids, esters, phenols, fatty alcohol, epoxides, aldehydes, isoprenoid lipids, steroids. Tetracosamethyl-cyclododecasiloxane (18.90%), oleic acid (72.90%), phenol, 2, 6-bis (1, 1-dimethylethyl)-4-methyl-, methylcarbamate (26.56%) found high concentrations A. auricular M. T. versicolor, respectively. Fatty acids make up majority elegans chloroform umkowaani ethanol extract, Particularly, play crucial roles anti-inflammatory, hypocholesterolemic, anticancer, antibiofilm formation activities. These bioactive elements indicate that five wild mushrooms may reliable sources for therapeutic development. Therefore, additional research is required usefulness chemicals many functional areas improve present understanding macrofungi.

This research explores the eco-friendly creation of functional, biocompatible nanomaterials through green chemistry, utilizing natural extracts over chemicals to produce metal and oxide nanoparticles. The study focuses on iron nanoparticles synthesized with Volvariella volvacea (GIONP) evaluates their physical, chemical, biological traits, including anticancer capabilities, against traditionally made IONPs (CIONP). GIONPs, confirmed by UV-visible spectroscopy dynamic light scattering, showed enhanced stability consistent size distribution. They also demonstrated smaller sizes via -Field Emission scanning electron microscopy analysis, X-ray diffraction Fourier transform infrared studies verified crystalline structure organic functional groups. Notably, GIONPs exhibited strong antioxidant properties, low toxicity blood cells, promising for intravenous use, greater antimicrobial antibiofilm activities various bacterial strains than CIONPs. revealed that both CIONPs exhibit a similar degree towards MDA-MB 231 cancer cells. internalization within these cells was Prussian blue assay further supported concentration-dependent increase in intracellular levels post-treatment. These findings underscore successful formulation are not only but capped bioactive compounds, highlighting applications field biomedicine.
