Breast cancer is the most common amongst women worldwide. Recently, owing to screening programs and new technologies, survival rate has increased significantly. can potentially develop metastases, and, despite them, lung metastases generally occur within five years of breast diagnosis. In this study, objective was analyze effect cancer-derived EVs on a epithelial cell line. BEAS-2B cells were treated with extracellular vesicles (EVs) derived from triple-negative (TNBCs), e.g., MDA-MB-231 HS578T, separated using differential ultracentrifugation. We observed an growth, migration, invasiveness normal over time in presence TNBC compared control. Therefore, these data suggest that released by tumor contain biological molecules capable influencing pro-tumorigenic activity cells. Exploring role oncology research their potential cargo may be novel biomarkers for early detection further

Before molecular pathways in cancer were known to a depth that could predict targets, drug development relied on phenotypic screening, where the effectiveness of candidate chemicals is judged from functional readouts without considering mechanisms action. The unraveling tumor-specific has brought targets for molecularly driven discovery, but precedents field have shown awareness does not necessarily therapeutic efficacy, and many cancers still lack druggable targets. Phenotypic screening therefore retains niche targeted approach informative. We analyze unique advantages screens, how technological advances improved their discovery power. Notable include use larger biological panels refined protocols address disease-relevance increase data content with imaging omic approaches.

The incidence of distant metastases is associated with most cancer-related mortalities.Extracellular vesicles (EVs), secreted from tumors and cancer-associated fibroblasts, are involved in the metastatic process mediating their organotropism through involvement pre-metastatic niche formation. We have been developing suicide gene therapy mediated by EVs mesenchymal stem/ stromal cells, tumor fibroblasts.Suicide conjugated prodrug tropic, penetrate kill them intracellular conversion nontoxic to an efficient anti-cancer drug. Here, we discuss findings regarding possibility using as a novel therapeutic approach for metastases, via modification. The provide future perspective metastasis prevention.
