Diabetic nephropathy (DN) represents a significant microvascular complication in diabetes, entailing intricate molecular pathways and mechanisms associated with cardiorenal vascular diseases. Prolonged hyperglycemia induces renal endothelial dysfunction damage via metabolic abnormalities, inflammation, oxidative stress, thereby compromising hemodynamics. Concurrently, fibrotic sclerotic alterations exacerbate glomerular tubular injuries. At macro level, reciprocal communication between the microvasculature systemic circulation establishes pernicious cycle propelling disease progression. The current management approach emphasizes rigorous control of glycemic levels blood pressure, renin-angiotensin system blockade conferring renoprotection. Novel antidiabetic agents exhibit renoprotective effects, potentially mediated through modulation. Nonetheless, emerging therapies present novel avenues for enhancing patient outcomes alleviating burden. A precision-based approach, coupled comprehensive strategy addressing global risk, will be pivotal mitigating burden diabetes.

The only clinically approved drug that reduces doxorubicin cardiotoxicity is dexrazoxane, but its application limited due to the risk of secondary malignancies. So, exploring alternative effective molecules attenuate crucial. Colchicine a safe and well-tolerated helps reduce production reactive oxygen species. High doses colchicine have been reported block fusion autophagosomes lysosomes in cancer cells. However, impact on autophagy activity within cardiomyocytes remains inadequately elucidated. Recent studies highlighted beneficial effects patients with pericarditis, postprocedural atrial fibrillation, coronary artery disease. It ambiguous how regulates autophagic flux doxorubicin-induced heart failure.

Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a severe condition and significant public health issue worldwide, carrying the burden of an increased risk cardiovascular events mortality. The traditional factors that promote onset progression CKD are cardiometabolic like hypertension diabetes, but non-traditional contributors escalating. Moreover, gut dysbiosis, inflammation, impaired immune response emerging as crucial mechanisms in pathology. microbiome exert reciprocal influence commonly referred to "the gut-kidney axis" through induction metabolic, immunological, endocrine alterations. Periodontal diseases strictly involved axis for their impact on microbiota composition metabolic immunological alterations occurring reciprocally affecting both conditions. This review aims provide overview dynamic biological interconnections between oral status, gut, renal pathophysiology, spotlighting oral-gut-kidney raising whether periodontal can be modifiers CKD. By doing so, we try offer new insights into therapeutic strategies may enhance clinical trajectory patients, ultimately advancing our quest improved patient outcomes well-being.

Recent evidence indicates an increased risk of chronic kidney disease (CKD) in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA), prevalence rates ranging from 20.8% to 24.5%. Risk factors for CKD among RA include advancing age, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, hypertension and activity. Medications such as glucocorticoids nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) may also accelerate progression. Inflammatory cytokines, notably interleukin-6 (IL-6), tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) IL-1, play significant roles the pathogenesis both CKD, promoting systemic inflammation renal impairment. Elevated levels various cytokines have been detected plasma urine patients, they raise morbidity mortality rates, even during early stages. Effective management activity modifications treatment reduce burden are essential lowering improving patient outcomes. Biological disease-modifying antirheumatic (DMARDs), particularly those targeting IL-6 TNF-α, show potential mitigating progression patients. However, individualized careful function monitoring critical, impact management. Future research should focus on therapeutic strategies that address optimize care.
