Autistic people experience higher risk of suicidal ideation (SI) and suicide attempts (SA) compared to non-autistic people, yet there is limited understanding complex, multilevel factors that drive this disparity. Further, determinants mental health service receipt among population are unknown. This study will identify socioecological associated with increased SI SA for autistic evaluate care receipt. link information individuals aged 12-64 years in healthcare claims data (IBM® MarketScan® Research Database CMS Medicaid) publicly available databases containing community policy factors, thereby creating a unique, dataset includes health, demographic, community, information. Although global rates of suicide have dropped in the last 30 years, youth low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) continue to be highly represented statistics yet underrepresented research. In this review we present epidemiology suicide, suicidal ideation, attempts among LMICs. We also describe population-level (attitudes toward socioeconomic, societal factors) individual-level clinical psychosocial risk factors, highlighting specific considerations pertaining These factors within population can inform how multi-level prevention strategies may targeted meet their needs. Prevention intervention relying on stepped-care framework focusing population-, community-, individual level targets while considering locally- culturally relevant practices are key addition, systemic approaches favoring school-based family-based interventions important youth. In recent years, the United States has been experiencing historically high suicide rates. face of mental health care provider shortages that leave millions needing to travel longer find providers with schedule openings, if any are available at all, inaccessibility become increasingly central in explaining suicidality. To examine relationship between access and suicide, we leverage a dataset mapping all licensed US psychiatrists psychotherapists ( N = 711,214), as early 2020, employ real-world transportation data model patients’ mobility barriers. We strong association reduced spatial-social accessibility heightened risk. Using machine learning approach condition on host 22 contextual factors known be implicated (e.g., race, education, divorce, gun shop prevalence), locales where individuals seeking can fewer providers, already more likely saturated by demand, risk is increased (3.2% for each SD psychiatrist accessibility; 2.3% psychotherapists). Additionally, observe local inequalities associated further underscoring need research account highly localized barriers preventing many Americans from accessing needed services.
