With its emphasis on practices like social distancing and periods of intermittent isolation, the COVID-19 pandemic likely presented unique challenges for individuals who engage in consensual nonmonogamy (CNM). Interviews with 16 practitioners CNM United States conducted May–July, 2021 revealed five themes about how impacted their relationships: (1) slowing down relationship activity progress; (2) speeding up changes milestones; (3) providing opportunity reflecting nonmonogamous identities relationships; (4) facilitation clarifying intentions around (5) offering opportunities to apply skills from safer sex negotiations navigating safety precautions related COVID-19. Abstract The COVID‐19 pandemic produced multiple stressors that risk relationship conflict and dissatisfaction. We extended prior studies yielded inconsistent effects of the on relationships by using propensity score matching to (1) compare levels satisfaction during (pandemic group; N = 7268) similar people immediately before (matched control 7268), (2) groups facing different types restrictions, beginning with lockdowns involving household isolation returning normal life. Abstract The COVID‐19 pandemic continues to affect couples worldwide who vary in sociocultural values, norms, and expectations, but most work examining connections between pandemic‐related stress couples' relationships has been conducted the US or similar Western cultures. Guided by vulnerability‐stress‐adaptation (VSA) model (Karney & Bradbury, 1995), we present a revised theoretical framework for evaluating how contexts may moderate ways which risks poor couple functioning promotes resilience. Objective To determine individual- and country-level factors associated with self-reported changes in solo partnered sexual behaviors an international sample of adults during COVID-19.Methods Data were from the International Sexual Health And REproductive COVID-19 study (I-SHARE)—a cross-sectional, multi-country (N = 26 countries) assessing adult 19,654) sexual/reproductive health before first wave COVID-19. We examined (three-point scale: decreased, no change, increased) masturbation, hugging/holding hands/cuddling a partner, sex primary casual sexting viewing sexually explicit media cybersex. Ordinal regression assessed impact individual (age, gender- sexual-identity, romantic partnership status, employment income stability, household change content, mental well-being, alcohol use, marijuana use) (e.g., Oxford Stringency Index, Human Development Palma Ratio) on behavior change.Results The most common to increase was hugging, kissing, or cuddling partner (21.5%), decrease main (36.7%). Abstract Background and Objectives In this study, we investigated the efficacy of a self-administered, online Social Intelligence Training (SIT) program aimed at enhancing psychological relational well-being among nationwide U.S. sample custodial grandmothers. Research Design Methods A two-arm randomized clinical trial (RCT) was conducted, where 349 grandmothers raising grandchildren aged 11–18 years were assigned to either SIT or an attention control condition (ACC). Participants self-completed surveys baseline immediately postintervention, in addition follow-ups 3-, 6-, 9-month postintervention. First-order latent difference score models used compare ACC, across all times measurement, along key indicators on intent-to-treat basis. Results Although largely superior ACC yielding positive results, it appears that attenuated longitudinal declines occurred participants. also exerted stronger effects than outcomes, with perceived relations being most positively affected. Abstract Background The COVID-19 pandemic had a profound social and economic impact across the United States due to lockdowns consequent changes everyday activities in spaces. Methods COVID-19’s Unequal Racial Burden (CURB) survey was nationally representative, online of 5,500 American Indian/Alaska Native, Asian, Black/African American, Latino (English- Spanish-speaking), Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander, White, multiracial adults living U.S. For this analysis, we used data from 1,931 participants who responded 6-month follow-up conducted between 8/16/2021-9/9/2021. As part survey, were asked “What worst thing about that you experienced?” “Was there anything positive your life resulted pandemic?” Verbatim responses coded independently by two coders using open axial coding techniques identify salient themes, definitions illustrative quotes, with reconciliation coders. Chi-square tests estimate association sociodemographics themes. Results Commonly reported negative themes among reflected disrupted lifestyle/routine (27.4%), not seeing family friends (9.8%), impacts (10.0%). Positive included improved relationships (16.9%), financial situation (10.1%), employment (9.8%).
