Abstract Background Effective pain management in elderly patients is crucial for quality of life, yet cultural and institutional factors can significantly impact care delivery, particularly Arab healthcare settings. Aim To explore the barriers facilitators to effective from perspective nurses. Methods A qualitative descriptive study was conducted with 12 registered nurses various departments at Tanta University Hospitals, Egypt. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, observations, document analysis. Content analysis used identify themes subthemes. Results Five main emerged: (1) Cultural Barriers Pain Expression, including stoicism religious beliefs; (2) Institutional Management, such as resource limitations time constraints; (3) Facilitators family support nurse adaptability; (4) Interdisciplinary Collaboration, emphasizing teamwork education; (5) Emotional Professional Rewards often led underreporting pain, while constraints hindered thorough assessments. Nurse adaptability support, when present, facilitated better management. Conclusion The reveals complex interplay between cultural, institutional, professional influencing patients. Findings suggest need culturally sensitive assessment tools, enhanced education management, policies promoting family-centered interdisciplinary collaboration. Implications inform development appropriate strategies settings, potentially improving

ABSTRACT Background Psychiatric nurses often work in high‐stress environments where they are frequently exposed to various forms of violence and aggression from patients. While the immediate physical consequences usually recognised, psychological impacts, such as feelings entrapment, self‐stigma diminished empathy, less understood but equally critical. Aims This study aimed fill this gap by examining how different exposure affect empathic care among psychiatric nurses, providing insights that can inform both practice policy. Design utilised a descriptive correlational research design. Method was conducted two prominent hospitals Egypt, namely Mental Health Hospital Addiction Benha City Elmaamora for Medicine Alexandria. A convenience sample 246 who filled out Perception Prevalence Aggression Scale, Impact Event Scale‐Revised, Empathetic Care Scale Assessing Stigma Illness Nursing Entrapment used study. Data collection spanned 3 months, June August 2024. Findings The findings reveal perceived is positively correlated with impact events ( r = 0.513, p < 0.001) entrapment 0.160, 0.012) negatively empathy −0.232, 0.001). regression analyses show verbal aggression, threatening aggressive splitting behaviour, severe self‐directed suicides significant predictors increasing its levels R 2 0.509, influenced provocative violence, mild against self passive‐aggressive behaviour 0.377, Conclusion These results underscore importance addressing settings promote well‐being professional functioning nurses. To provide a comprehensive understanding of the cultural adaptation and professional integration experiences migrant nurses in receiving country. A convergent parallel mixed methods design with concurrent sampling was employed. Professional who migrated from various Middle Eastern North African countries, including Egypt, Syria, Palestine, Yemen, Jordan, Iraq Saudi Arabia, were enrolled. The Quantitative data collected through an online questionnaire involving open-ended questions for qualitative data. Data November 2023 to March 2024. One hundred five responded quantitative questionnaire, 32 answered questions. findings revealed that mean scores competence self-concept 83.41 ± 12.90 76.28 11.16, respectively. Migrant experienced challenges such as language barriers (91.4%), social interaction (82.9%) difficulties adapting daily living activities (100%). majority them reported positive outcomes better working conditions higher standard (89.5%) development opportunities (94.3%). Nurses emphasised accepting diversity, participating competency training, building relationships local colleagues utilising support mechanisms mentorship adaptation. This study highlighted importance systems, training initiatives facilitate successful integration. Orientation programs should be developed nurses. The caring behaviors of outpatient nurses play a crucial role in improving the quality care hospitals. Work resources and personal psychological have significant impact on nurses' behavior. Previous research has shown that perceived organizational support compassion fatigue are linked to behaviors.
