Unveiling the determinants of femicide in Ecuador: a comprehensive analysis

This paper reports an investigation of the determinants femicide using context Ecuador as case study. To do so, we use official data spanning 2018 to 2022 from National Survey on Family Relations and Gender Violence against Women in with a dataset revealing 1,325 femicides violent deaths cisgender women girls. Using probit regression model, find that several variables related perpetrators' such level education, employment status, crime itself location emerge pivotal factors understanding incidents. study contributes more profound comprehension femicide's multifaceted determinants, emphasizing dynamic nature these factors. The research aids development evidence-based policies address this societal issue effectively.
