Abstract The human dopamine transporter gene SLC6A3 has been consistently implicated in several neuropsychiatric diseases but the disease mechanism remains elusive. In this risk synthesis, we have concluded that represents an increasingly recognized with a growing number of familial mutants associated and neurological disorders. At least five loci were related to common severe including alcohol use disorder (high activity variant), attention-deficit/hyperactivity (low autism (familial proteins mutated networking) movement disorders (both regulatory variants mutations). Association signals depended on genetic markers used as well ethnicity examined. Strong haplotype selection gene-wide epistases support multimarker assessment functional variations phenotype associations. Inclusion its promoter region’s such DNPi (rs67175440) 5’VNTR (rs70957367) may help delineate condensate-based action, testing locus-pathway-phenotype hypothesis for one gene-multidisease etiology.

Background: Substances that can be vaped include nicotine, marijuana, cocaine, heroin, and a range of synthetic drugs called new psychoactive substances (NPS). Due to the rising popularity vaping among adolescents, it is crucial understand relationships between illicit drug use. Objectives: This paper examined prevalence trends using devices, marijuana vaping, products, cannabinoids mist contents youth. Methods: The study utilized 5 sets public cross-sectional national data from "Monitoring Future" surveys during 2014–2018. It employed logistic regression analyze data. Results: There was an increase 10.5% in 2017 20.8% 2018 for past 30-day use devices 12th graders. Furthermore, there 21.6% 34.5% 12-month via device 12th-grade users. Additionally, were significant associations use, 2016 2018. Conclusions: Vaping emerged as another major route administration Adolescent users had higher odds cannabinoids. finding highlighted importance understanding what adolescent substance consumption pattern would where legalized. also supported hypothesis correlates with, or associated

To estimate the associations between a positive eating disorder screen and any lifetime diagnosis illicit drug use among large, diverse sample of college students. We analyzed data from national (United States), cross-sectional 2018-2019 Healthy Minds Study (HMS; n = 42,618; response rate: 16%). HMS collects information on physical, mental, social health students. Multiple logistic regression analyses were used to association (measured using SCOFF) self-reported in past 30 days (any marijuana, cocaine, heroin, methamphetamines, stimulants, ecstasy, opioids, benzodiazepines), while adjusting for potential confounders.Among sample, 54.34% (n 28,608) female mean age participants was 23.30 (SE ± 0.05) years. Logistic revealed unique student participants. A most strongly associated with methamphetamine (adjusted odds ratio [AOR] 3.93, 95% confidence interval [CI] 1.43-10.78), benzodiazepine (AOR 3.42, CI 2.28-5.13).Illicit is common students who an report diagnosis. There has been heightened public concern about the implications of recreational marijuana legalization to safety. Prior research on this issue primarily focused Colorado and Washington State—the two states that first legalized in U.S.—and legalization’s impact major crimes. This study extends line Oregon (OR, late 2014) examines a less serious form violent crime—simple assault. Using Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) Program data from 2007 2017 quasi-experimental design, found counties OR have experienced increases simple assault rate following legalization, relative rates 19 non-legalized states. Findings suggest need for more scholarly efforts explore potential different subtypes crime other
