The coronavirus pandemic has generated and continues to create unprecedented demands on our healthcare systems. Healthcare workers (HCWs) face physical psychological stresses caring for critically ill patients, including experiencing anxiety, depression, posttraumatic stress symptoms. Nurses nursing staff disproportionately experienced COVID-19-related distress due their vital role in infection mitigation direct patient care. Although COVID-19 is no longer a public health emergency, its mental effects on healthcare workers persist. This study investigated the relationship between working conditions, sleep, and stress among Colombian hospital personnel during pandemic. In this cross-sectional study, 79 completed questionnaires stress, sleep. Sleep duration was measured with Fitbit Armbands. Associations were analyzed using Generalized Linear Models Gamma ordinal distributions. Approximately 79% of participants reported high to very levels (61% "very high," 18% "high"). complications minimal, averaging 6.2 hours. <abstract><sec> <title>Background</title> <p>With its abrupt and huge health socio-economic consequences, the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic has led to a uniquely demanding, intensely stressful, even traumatic period. Healthcare workers (HCW), especially nurses, were exposed mental challenges during those challenging times.</p> </sec><sec> <title>Objectives</title> <p>Review current literature on problems among nurses caring for COVID-19 patients.</p> <title>Methods</title> <p>This is narrative review critical evaluation of relevant publications.</p> <title>Results</title> <p>Nurses experienced higher levels stress, burnout, anxiety, depression, frustration, stigma, depersonalization compared other HCW. Factors that increased this symptomatology included concerns about infection or family members, inadequate staff protective equipment, extended working hours, insufficient information, reduced sense security, post-traumatic stress disorder. Background/Objectives: Previous research points to the prevalence of insomnia during COVID-19 pandemic among healthcare workers (HCWs). However, longitudinal studies on its evolution, including post-pandemic stage, are less abundant, with a special lack about possible psychosocial risk factors. The COVID-19 pandemic has determined an extraordinary challenge to healthcare systems worldwide. circumstances, characterized by elevated stress levels, prolonged working hours, new medical procedures, media attention, and high population expectations, have created extremely stressful situation for professionals. This period offered a unique opportunity examine the system responses of practitioners stress. research aimed identify work-related factors that significantly impact mental health professionals.Three variables were assessed: anxiety, depression considered professional degree, type unit (COVID or non-COVID), number hours spent at work in single shift, shifts, monthly on-call frequency, treated patients per month. In spring 2022, three inventories demographic survey distributed completed online 300 professionals from Timisoara's public hospitals Romania.Among respondents, 47.7% reported mild symptoms 65.3% moderate levels stress, 33% participants depression. intensity anxious, depressive, varied depending on on-calls month, where worked, SARS CoV-2 previous month.Current data underlines urgency implementing effective strategies reduce anxiety who with patients. Abstract Purpose To understand the influence of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic on clinical autonomic education and research in Europe. Self-compassion in healthcare professionals (HCPs) is under-researched and undervalued. Promoting self-compassion within could have far-reaching benefits. This research study explores the experience of four NHS HCPs receiving a single short training, with recommended at-home practices completed over 4 weeks. Subsequently, semi-structured interviews gathered information about their experience, resultant wellbeing any impact on colleagues patients.
