This study explored the emotions and coping strategies of 25 Bhutanese English teachers in response to student disruption. Thematic analysis in-depth interviews revealed that participants encountered a variety students’ disruptive behaviours elicited wide range emotions, both positive (e.g., compassion pride) negative frustration, irritation, anger, sadness, anxiety, insult, guilt, disappointment). Findings also indicated regulate their using antecedent-focused situation selection, modification, attention deployment, cognitive change) response-focused emotion suppression, deep breathing, journaling, talking with colleagues or students, listening music, watching movies) regulation strategies. The concludes practical implications for policymakers, teachers, teacher educators recommendations future research.

Online teaching mode has been prevalent during the COVID-19 period, which brings both advantages and challenges for teachers. Objective: To evaluate the teachers’ perceptions regarding their emotions, health and work, as well students’ situation, during pandemic. Methods: Cross-sectional, quantitative descriptive study, carried out with teachers from public education network in state of Piauí. The bivariate analysis model was applied using Pearson’s Chi-square test, considering significance level at 5% to check associations analyze reliability questionnaire. Internal consistency calculated Cronbach’s alpha coefficient. Results: Hopeless emotion most perceived by teachers. Conversely, they felt satisfied work. There no influence sociodemographic characteristics on hopeless. In addition, stated that had good expectations when pandemic over. Regarding it identified partially agreed there been harm. Conclusion: Feeling hopeless independent individual’s characteristics, teacher’s gender, age or race/skin color.

Effect of distance education courses held in different environments on emotions of the instructor DOI Creative Commons

In this study, the emotional states of instructors who teach by distance education and effect environment in which they give lesson on their emotions were examined. Computer-aided "Facial Action Coding System" method was used to measure emotion values from facial images. Through software developed researchers using Microsoft Face Recognition API, 43292 images taken five trainers during training analysed seven basic representing expressions obtained numerically.
