Mobile health applications called Digital Adherence Technologies (DATs), are increasingly used for improving treatment adherence among Tuberculosis patients to attain cure, and/or other chronic diseases requiring long-term and complex medication regimens. These DATs found be useful in resource-limited settings because of their cost efficiency reaching out vulnerable groups (providing pill clinic visit reminders, relevant information, motivational messages) or those staying remote rural areas. Despite growing ubiquity, there is very limited evidence on how improve healthcare outcomes. We analyzed the uptake an urban setting (DS-DOST, powered by Connect Life TM , Johnson & Johnson) different patient accessing TB services New Delhi, India, subsequently assessed its impact engagement This study aims understand patterns a digital technology follow-ups outcomes patients. Propensity choice modelling was create balanced treated untreated datasets, before applying simple ordinary least square logistic regression methods estimate causal intervention number made with After controlling potential confounders, it that who installed utilized DS-DOST application received average 6.4 (95% C.I. [5.32 7.557]) additional follow-ups, relative did not utilize application. translates 58% increase. They also had 245% higher likelihood success (Odds ratio: 3.458; 95% [1.709 6.996]).

Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) are revolutionizing various scientific clinical disciplines including pharmacogenomics (PGx) by enabling the analysis of complex datasets development predictive models. The integration AI ML with PGx has potential to provide more precise, data-driven insights into new drug targets, efficacy, selection, risk adverse events. While significant effort develop validate these tools remain, ongoing advancements in technologies, coupled improvements data quality depth is anticipated drive transition practice delivery individualized treatments improved patient outcomes. successful AI-assisted will require careful consideration ethical, legal, social issues (ELSI) research practice. This paper explores intersection AI, highlighting current applications, ELSI privacy, oversight, provider knowledge acceptance, impact on patient-provider relationship roles.
